Tomorrow you will have a quiz on the Representative Government topics: Electoral College (picking the president), who can vote?, Qualifications to be a Representative and Senator, and How do I become a Federal Judge?

Know where the 538 electors comes from, and be ready to ask yourself "is this a quality of a Representative, Senator, both, or neither"?

10-7-16

Your homework: Today we spent some time looking at the process in which federal judges are nominated and confirmed. Your job is to use the chart on page 28 to answer the 7 questions on page 29. Then, you will use the following scenario to pick your judge- "You are a Republican POTUS and a Supreme Court vacancy opens up (a judge has been fired, retired, or died). You have to pick a new judge with a Senate that has a majority of Democrats (remember, the Senate must confirm your pick). Based on the resumes on pgs. 31-34, who will you pick and why?"

Write 1-2 sentences on the bottom of page 34 explaining who you are picking and why. This will be due on Tuesday, October 11th.

Also, a friendly reminder: your topic 3 (Representative Government) portion of your study guide will be due on Wednesday, October 12th. There will also be a quiz on Representative Government on Wednesday.
