What is the GPA requirement for FSU? ›

GPA Requirement

Students must earn a minimum 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) college grade point average in your fall classes with no grade below C.

Florida State University has an acceptance rate of 25%. Half the applicants admitted to Florida State University who submitted test scores have an SAT score between 1210 and 1370 or an ACT score of 26 and 31.

Very few students with less than a 3.0 calculated GPA will be admitted. be in good academic standing and have at least a 2.0 calculated GPA on all work attempted at your last institution.

The state of Florida requires that all freshman applicants have at least a 2.5 (C) academic cumulative GPA from high school. As a Top 10 public university, UF's standards are higher than the state minimums. Competitive freshman applicants to UF Online typically have a 3.7 or higher academic high school GPA.

The state minimum requirements for Lower Division applicants can be found here, however, UF's standards for admissions are significantly higher than the state minimums. Generally, we are looking for applicants with over a 3.0 High School GPA and over a 3.0 College GPA.

While both schools are highly selective, UF has a lower acceptance rate of 23% compared to FSU's rate of 25%. Both schools also require high test scores, but the average SAT and ACT scores among accepted students are higher at UF.

What is the hardest college to get into in Florida? The University of Miami is the hardest college to get into in Florida. As of 2022, the school accepted only 19% of applicants, according to NCES data. First-time students had a median SAT score of 1390 and an ACT score of 32.

Greek life is also a cornerstone of FSU's social activities, and fraternities host many registered events. FSU is the top-ranked college for Greek life in America, per Niche. Various school clubs also host social gatherings, and abundant apartment culture makes house parties plentiful.

Limited academic options: FSU is a smaller university, which means that students may have limited options in terms of academic programs and course offerings. Less diverse student body: FSU may not be as diverse as other universities, both in terms of its student body and its academic programs.
