I had to shut the water off on 2 toilets. One would not flush and the other toilet ran 24 hours a day. My water bill was much higher than the previous one. Roto Rooter came out promptly and owned my problems! Thank you. They took charge, got the new parts I needed installed and got everything working again. They left each bathroom spotless. I will always call them in the future. George was great to work with.

I first called a different company to deal with a clogged shower drain. The plumber told me he couldn’t get through the clog and that I would need to have an excavation done under the house to replace part of the pipe entirely at an estimated cost of $10-15k. No thanks ? (Also, that plumber was five hours late). I called Roto-Rooter next. They came when they said they would and were able to get through the clog. They had the tools, patience, and skills that I guess their competitor lacked. I’m SO glad I called them, and they will be my first call next time I have any plumbing issue. Thank you!

Michael was amazing! In the middle of my plumbing crisis, he was calm and consistent and gave me all the information and answers that I needed to be reassured. As someone who knows nothing about plumbing, this was exactly what I needed. He went above and beyond and so did the company to make sure my issues were solved 100% and I will definitely be calling them again for any future needs. They were quick (same day), diligent and responsive until my issues were solved.

We received same-day service on a sewer line and commode that had been infiltrated by tree roots. Efrain and Oliver were both professional, hard working and knowledgeable. The price for their service was reasonable and we would highly recommend Roto Rooter.

Great service when it came to fixing my slab leak at my home. My technicians Dustin and Raphael were extremely professional and timely and made the whole process easy. Can’t say enough about the job they did. Very satisfied with their work.

Highly do not recommend this company. Due to a number of reasons. First, they were not responsive and definitely not on time. Called to schedule an appointment to have an estimate on a plumbing issue. I was told that someone would arrive the following day at 1:00 p.m. On the day of the appointment, I did not once receive a call saying that a technician was on the way or that they were backed up. I had to call myself to see what was going on. I was then told they would arrive anywhere from 1:00-3:00 p.m. I FINALLY received a call around 5:00 p.m. only to be told that they finally had a technician and if I still wanted him to come. I said yes only to be charged $69 for being told that the drywall needs to be open. Also, please be aware of the technician named Joseph Fabela. I highly do not recommend him as your technician! He was unprofessional, rude, and seemed very apathetic.

Came out on Christmas Eve. Turned up earlier than they said and fixed the problem in less than half an hour. Our builder had left some sort of testing device in the sewer pipe and the tech. was able to remove it and clear the blockage. The tech. was polite and competent.I did think the service was a bit pricy ($475) but worth it under the circ*mstances and our builder will be reimbursing us.

So, I have no complaints whatsoever about the quality of work, which is why I can't give a 1 star review. However, I was assured this was going to be covered by my insurance and was in fact required after they were told about the water damage. It wasn't covered. I was not offered any sort of pricing assistance. I was offered a financing option that I've had to take, but I think it's very unacceptable to straight up lie to a customer about their financial liability, then refuse to meet them part of the way after. I will not use roto rooter again because of this.

Michael Angeles was my plumber and he was very clear about what the costs would be up front. He was courteous, on time, and did his best to efficiently diagnose the source of the leak and perform the repair quickly and well. He answered all of my questions and gave me information to prevent trouble down the road. He stands by his work, by giving me his cell phone number to call in case I had follow up questions later. His demeanor was pleasant and friendly, which made the work go easier. I would use him again, if I had problems in future.

Jeffrey was a really Sweet guy and explained everything well and found the problem and fixed it and also gave us really good advice to keep it from happening again. He didn't mind our dog either and made a new friend. Hopefully we won't need y'all again anytime soon, but if ever needed wouldn't mind if he was sent out to us again.

We had the pleasure of having Jose, Julio, Raul and George come out and work diligently on our outside plumbing for the past 4 days. They are very professional and took the time out to explain the process to us. They went above and beyond to ensure we understood what was taking place and addressed any questions we had. This was a tough job, they never gave up and they stayed late into the evening hours to complete the work. We greatly appreciate them, the hard work and the kindness they showed us. Roto Rooter checked my kitchen sink clog and cleared the drain. Called in the morning and they were there in the afternoon. Cleaned my sink and made sure all leaked water was cleaned and surfaces were dry.

The toilet was clogged and Roto-Rooter removed the toilet to fix the issue. The issue was fixed. Sometime after that the toilet flange connecting it to the floor broke. They responded promptly to address the issue and informed me that it would be a costly repair. I had concerns about how it broke and spoke to Roto-Rooter. They addressed my concerns and worked with me on the cost of repairs. Very professional and did a great job.

Brian did a great job of clearing up the clog in the pipes. He was courteous and let me know what was happening while he was doing it.

Installer (Joseph) was a great communicator and had our interests in mind. He clearly explained what he needed to do and did all that he said he would do in removing our old hot water heater and installing a new one. He was also professional, courteous, and followed all CDC guidelines relating to preventing the spread of Covid.

The manager at this company was dishonest. They quoted us one price while billing the insurance company a different amount. We have $2000.00 to pay them for; quite frankly not doing much. They had air scrubbers in our home for what I thought was over the top—they also removed drywall. Each time my husband and I spoke to the manager, he assured us that we wouldn't be charged an outrageous amount and that if the insurance company didn't cover, they wouldn't bill us. So we ended up with the cost to repair and put wall's back up in two bathrooms and a master bath closet. They had no integrity at all. Truthfully, I am so upset at myself for trusting and not going online and doing my due diligence. Now looking on-line, this seems like a common problem with this company.

The drain pipe under our kitchen slab failed (cast iron - 70 years old). Roto-rooter came out, scoped the break and gave us an estimate to repair the pipe. They had to break through the tile and slab, repair the broken pipe, fill in the excavation and replace the concrete. I had no idea Roto-Rooter did this type of work. They did it quickly and very professionally. The estimate was accurate. They even looked for other problems so we could fix it up while the excavation was open (no other problems found - thank goodness). I highly recommend them.

We had a gas stove installed and Jeffrey came out to install our stove. He is absolutely the best!! We are beyond grateful. He was amazing and fast service. He was extremely knowledgeable.

I came home to my kitchen tiles tented and a couple of them were cracked. I called for an emergency assessment thinking a pipe burst and Jeffrey Freeman arrived within an hour of my phone call! He was extremely thorough and walked me through every possible reason as to why this could be happening. Micheal Montoya came out to detect the floors for wetness, and Julio Aleman did his own assessment as well. Being away from my hometown/family (military spouse) and with my husband being away from home right now I was so overwhelmed, but all my stars aligned with this crew! The dream team may not have figured out exactly what caused this random occurrence but they ruled out every possible thing they could within their realm and truly helped me more than I can explain by taking the time to walk me through everything, educate me along the way, and point me in the direction of what step to take next. 10/10 recommended!

Michael showed up within the time I was promised and worked on the problem until he had it working correctly. I would use this company and technician again.

I called them out to clear two clogged toliets. The first guy couldn't clear it so they sent out a supervisor to check why the first guy couldn't clear it and then they sent another guy out to clear it but he couldn't also. At the end they still charged me the $245 the amount for clearing the clogged toliets and they blamed me for them not being able to clear the clogs. Very bad experience I had to end up hiring another company to do the work and they were able to fix what roto rooter couldn't.

Extremely overpriced, I paid $450 for them to clean a pipe. They overcharge customers who are in need of help, and that doesn’t sit right with me. They were fine employees and did what they needed to do professionally, but the price points are insane. Go with another company if you want to save money

Water heater problem was resolved on the third visit. Technician was very professional and explained everything well. Wait time for same day appointment was very short.

Ben, showed up on time and was very fast at clearing the clog. He was very knowledgeable and helpful on giving me some preventative tips to use in the future.

Called them out to my business for an emergency repair. They were very quick to respond, which is why I gave them two stars. They originally quoted me over $1000 to replace a toilet flange. I asked for a copy of the invoice so I could see written down exactly what they were charging. All it said was $1050. We started questioning the cost as a toilet flange costs anywhere from $5-$20, suddenly the price dropped and we were given a “discount.” New bill said $250. Doesn’t make sense. Why was I originally being charged a grand then suddenly when questioned you just give a random person an $800 discount? Hmm. Very sketch. Needless to say, they left with everything in good standing, but I will not be calling them out again.

First,after 3 hours, could not fix problem, even though the owner was recommending to go to A/c to check. Then we were told that a specialist was going to come Monday and I called early in the morning to find out what time the technician would come snd the receptionist or whatever she is called said that she get back to me in one hour and never returned my call and almost at 6;00 pm these 2 guys show up at my house to fix problem but I had already call my regular plumber and he took care of the issue. All I have to say is that Router Rooter does not have the ruputation that it use to be. I will not recommend .

I initially used Roto-Rooter for a major issue and they did a fantastic job with the repairs.Unfortunately, the company they referred to complete the rebuild did not install the toilet correctly. After a few flushes it was leaking A LOT from the base. The toilet was out of commission for a while until I was able to save more money.Ready to have it fixed, I called Roto-Rooter this morning. They were at my house this afternoon and reset the toilet the way it should have been done the first time by the rebuilders.Roto-Rooter is a very punctual, professional and knowledgeable team who I 100% trust with my plumbing issues and will definitely use again. However, because of what happened with the company they referred, I will locate my own remodelers next time if something needs to be rebuilt.

The person charged me $600 to replace a garbage disposal that would have cost me around $115 from Home Depot. I should have done my homework before trusting Roto-Rooter. After he installed the garbage disposal, the leaking was not fix since it was coming from the faucet hose. I asked him if he could fix that but he wanted to charged me more. My wife and I looked at each other like this guy was a thief. Paid $600 and still have a leak!I would stay away from Roto-Rooter because they will drain your money and not even do the job properly. It’s a shame there are still unethical company like that.Franklin S.

Work was very good. The flat rate is expensive for job that took 10 minutes. I could not relight the pilot. That is all they did. Relight the pilot. I cannot afford to do this anymore. Thank you for fixing the water heater,

The technicians were very good. It just a pilot to be lit for water heater. I could not get lit. It cost a flat rate, which I agree too. The frustration was it took him less than 10 minutes. Very madding to pay that flat rate for hot water heater repair. I am not going to do that next time. I will just find a plumber.

They didn’t overcharge for coming on a Sunday evening…other companies were quoting me $200 higher call it an off-hours surcharge. They were prompt, quick, and efficient. Appreciated their professionalism and will definitely use them again if need be…but I hope I don’t!

Do not use Roto Rooter if you have an electric tankless water heater. They do not train their technicians appropriately and will charge you for services not needed.Roto-Rooter sent out a tech who charged me $300 just to troubleshoot my tankless heater, which he did not do correctly. Instead of recommending I replace the $80 part that was the culprit, he performed a “flush” that wasn’t needed, charged an additional $300, and left the house with the water heater in the exact same state as when he showed up.I called the water heater manufacturer and got the information I needed (which part to replace and how to use the water heater in the interim) in less than 10 minutes. The tech they sent out spent all day at my house. Even my non-technically inclined wife could tell this employee hadn’t got the proper training for the job he was sent out on.To add to the poor experience, I was quoted over $1200 dollars for labor alone if I wanted to replace the unit (not counting the cost of the unit) AND not touching anything electrical. I actually was able to replace the unit myself in 30 minutes…. and I’m certainly no electrician or plumber.Bottom line is this company sent out someone who couldn’t do the work, charged an ridiculous rate to NOT fix my issue, then tried to sell me on a multi-thousand dollar fix for something that a layman could do in less than an hour.

My wedding gold ring rolled and fell into a hole which is the drain of the air conditioning unit on the floor. It is a 2 inch diameter hole. I called the company on a Saturday afternoon, they answered the phone immediately and said A representative would come to my home in an hour with a camera to check what was to be done and they would give me the cost afterwards.After one hour I got a call from Mr. Oliver Williamson saying that he was outside of my home. He did his job in a very professional manner. He is a problem solver ! He didn’t give up, he tried all strategies we could think of to be able to find the ring in the dark drain full of water. And after several trials, he got the ring out of the drain. I can only be so thankful for his patience He’s a very resourceful and professional person.

Had standing water in sink, D clogged and fixed problem. Detect water leak from under sink and fixed it. Got dishwasher to work.

I setup a time for the technician to come out a week in advance. I was confirmed for an 815am-1215pm time and scheduled my weekend around this. No one showed up and no one called until 2pm that afternoon saying the technician would be late. By that time, I was already in the middle of my other commitments. I got another call at 6pm saying a technician was en route and I had already found another plumber by that time. Disappointed and will not attempt to use this company again in the future.

Aaron and Charles came out and saved the day it is genuinely difficult to find service last minute and especially on a Sunday evening but they came out and killed it really showed how they take pride in there work and love for their craft, ran into a few difficulties but stayed with it and got the job done definitely will be calling back for service

Flushed house water lines clogged with resin from failed water softener; Unfortunately, Jeff had to so the job alone as Roto Rooter failed to find an assistant ( this is normally a 2-man job). Jeff worked fast & hard in an effort to get the flush completed & required replacement parts completed as quickly as possible. He explained things as he worked throughout the house. I felt bad for him having to do a 2-man job all alone. Not fair to either of us.

Drain technician, David Mendez answered the call for help on a Saturday. He did an excellent job of examining the system and diagnosing the problem, specifically ruling out many things that were not the problem. He explained the sewer drainage design of my house so that I can understand the nature of the blockage in my house sewer lines, and why sewage was backing up only at certain points. He described the service he would recommend to solve the problem and thoroughly addressed all the things that the pricing would cover. He found the best access to the sewer line and thoroughly cleaned the line, rather than just breaking through the stoppage. He checked for proper drainage afterwards and appropriately flushed the line with large amounts of water to make sure any debris was removed.David’s supervisor, Mark Heckman, also visited the job and was quite adept at expanding on what my service fee covered. This was a relatively simple job but, in my particular case, Roto-Rooter's comprehensive pricing would've covered camera inspection work if necessary. Mark explained that the work comes with the six-month guarantee, because they want the fix it to last. These gentlemen gave me one gallon of Pipe Shield, ($76 value). This is an innovative product I will use in my sewer system on regular basis to keep greasy sewage from building up on the surface of the pipe. This crew was professional, thorough, efficient, and friendly.You may be able to find a initial cheaper price for a sewer clean. But I doubt you'll find a better value. With Roto-Rooter you don't have to worry about being quoted a low price to begin with and then finding out that they will need to tack on extra charges for other services they say are necessary for the completion of the job. Despite the fact that they're more expensive upfront I think they are well worth the investment. If I had to do over again I would still choose Roto-Rooter over the less expensive bids I had. I hope Roto-Rooter fares well in the marketplace here, but I think they could do well with some advertising. People of my generation always remember the Roto-Rooter ads on TV with the jingle, And away goes trouble down the drain, Roto-Rooter! But the younger generation knows nothing of this catchy advertising which made a name for Roto-Rooter and was part of why I chose them in the first place.Thanks to David and Mark for your excellent service!

We had a water fitting bad at the meter location, job took less than 40 mins and they charged over 600 usd. I decided to talk to someone and their answer was That is what we charge, we charge per job not per time. Extremely overpriced without a logical explanation from the manager.

Son clogged up our drain pipes with paper towels. Roto rooter was fast friendly and honest. They cleared the pipe then sent a camera down there was a break in the pipe and the roots and dirt settling pushed it down closing the clearance. They came out first thing Monday and we’re fast and professional with the repair.

Go figure...our water heater started leaking the night before New Year's Eve. We anticipated a problem getting it replaced on New Year's Eve when all the plumbing shops were closed, but we found Roto Rooter online and requested an early morning appointment on 31 Dec. We received confirmation within a few minutes, a call in the morning, and the plumber, Joseph, arrived by 9am. He troubleshot the problem and verified we needed a new water heater. Once we approved the work, he went to get the required parts (and somehow found a plumbing shop that would open up for him). About 20 hours after we found the problem, we had a new water heater installed and heating water. If Joseph's skill and professionalism is any indication of the quality of the rest of the Roto Rooter staff in San Antonio, they will be our go-to plumbers from now on. Definitely use them, especially for your emergent plumbing needs.Used them a second time to unclog a drain pipe. They arrived on time and got right to work. The pipe was running free in no time. Great company for short-notice repairs.

I had family visiting from out of state when the main drain became backed up. Raul came to the rescue and cleared the line. Now we are all able to shower, use the toilet, and wash our hands. The plumber that came to my house was very knowledgeable about my needs and got me up and running. He fixed my leaky faucet and garbage disposal and made sure that the job was correct. I would have given Roto Rooter 5 stars, but my experience with them keeping my appointment on the scheduled day was not acceptable. After waiting for 10 1/2 hours, they called to say they were re-scheduling until Monday. A Supervisor did call me Monday morning to discuss my concerns, which was appreciated.

PROS:Came quickly, assessed the issue fast, I had a crew in my yard digging the same day!Work was done very well. Inspectors were pleased, and commented on what a good job had been done!CONS:the guy doing the contract was not a reliable as the team that came to do the work. To date I still have not received a copy of the video that I was promised - they used a camera to see what the issue was since the standard things did not work. He also was not as readily available (as he had said he would be)causing a delay when an issue arose. Don't say it if you can't do it. Breeds false expectations.OVERVIEW:This was TOTALLY unexpected. Yet, in spite of my emergency, they were calm and knew exactly what had to be done. I would absolutely contact this company again. There were some glitches - not their fault in totality - but they stepped up and did whatever to make things right.They had zero percent financing if job is paid off timely which helped in an unforeseen situation.The Work done in my yard was not a huge mess, very neat overall for something that had to dig up a good chunk of my front yard. Safety fencing was used to protect the area till the City could inspect.Julio and Raul were excellent in the work that they did. I am familiar with the equipment and the plumbing - it was an excellent job that they did.Very pleased that they worked quickly and efficiently, didn't sit around all day etc. as I have seen some do. I have referred them to several others, as I am confident the work will be well done and the results lasting.FYI - there is a 5 year warranty on their work! But the materials they used will probably last a lifetime.

Once the Roto Rooter Drain Technician arrived he immediately looked at both locations in need of repair, listened to my issues, and proceeded to get to work. He was very efficient in cleaning the drain line into the septic tank and had me run all the faucets, showers and toilets to ensure all the p traps were clear.After closing up all open drain lids and tank lids he then proceeded to vacuum water from the master toilet, remove the nuts holding the toilet down and removed caulking from the bowl seat. The damaged wax seal was removed, all old caulk and wax cleaned from the tiles, a new wax seal applied and the bowl replaced on its bolts. He finished by caulking the toilet and turned on the water.He was very efficient and responsive to all my questions and concerns. As the ads say, all my worries went down the drain! The cost was reasonable and I would definitely call them again. Thanks!!

Able to come out on a Sunday. I was given a two hour window which was great and they kept me up to date about when the plumber would be here. The service was fast and friendly. I really appreciate the timeliness of their work especially because the leak was coming from a valve so our water to the house was shut off until it could be fixed properly.

Brian showed up and did a fast, professional job. Within 3 hours of my call to Roto-Rooter I was back in good shape. An old pipe had corroded. A new pipe was installed, which required replacing an old school sweated joint with a more modern one. It was all fast and professional and good.

Aaron and his apprentice Sam were quick, friendly and effective with helping us solve a drainage block that was causing water to back up into the house. They were able to fix the issue within a couple of hours from making the phone call for service. Will definitely use them again.

After buying a fridge and the installation guys messed up a water pipe behind the fridge water started leaking everywhere in my kitchen and carpeted dining area. I called roto-rooter to come fix it asap and asap they did! They’re fast and really great at what they do!

Roto-Rooter was able to service us the same day we called at a very quick response time. We had great service from Randell who worked hard and fast to get our water back on and leaks fixed. Very professional experience with David and Oliver. David drove out an hour from San Antonio, at 1 am to clear my main septic line I'm a house I just bought, as none of the toilets or drains would drain all of a sudden. Previous home owners left some.... yucky stuff in the pipes. But David came out to save the day, and Oliver came out in the morning to follow-up with a look inside. They each took the time to show me what they were doing, and answer my newbie questions. Mission accomplished! Highly recommended.

Dustin the plumber and Mike the Water waste professional were two of the most helpful, professional, and polite reps I have ever met. Of all the services I’ve ever needed on my property (heat/AC/lawn/security) Mike and Dustin were by far the most helpful and reassuring. Their attitudes were extremely calm and they truly went above and beyond. My emergency was on a Wednesday night at 9pm and both were responsive, and communicative each step of the way. Roto-Rooter was very efficient and did a great job from beginning to end.

We had a break in our sewer line and Roto Rooter was able to come over quickly and help us. They were professional throughout the whole process and fixed the issue as if it never happened. I had Justin Klaus come and service my home during a water claim. This was in fact the second water claim I had within 6 months, separate locations. Justin was more than professional with his work and his customer service. He actually came back to finish work the second day and picked up needed special order equipment for my home when it wasn't on his truck with no complaints. He made sure I was happy with each piece of work he did which include replacing more than one faucet, tub equipment, fixing a leak behind a wall in my shower and installing a water heater. Sewer clog disaster after dark. Called for service and the customer service rep was very helpful and sympathetic. She advised me that they had a technician in the area. Her projected time for their arrival was accurate. The Project Specialist, Jose and the Technician, Dale took a look at the overall situation and were extremely professional. Dale provided the rates in advance after discussing exactly what they were going to do to troubleshoot the problem. I was allowed to watch the work and they explained everything that they were doing and provided advice on what to be concerned about with my house plumbing structure. JOse provided info on other Roto-Rooter services, but was not pushy about it. They then helped get things settled and cleaned up before leaving. I would certainly want them for any future work I might be in need of in the future.

I have been working with Roto Rooter for a few months now. The first issue I had, a tech came out and cleared the drain in the wrong direction. When my problem persisted they sent Dale out and he fixed it right. A month or so later I started having problems again and they sent someone out and unclogged the drain and they found an issue with my pipes in my yard. Victor came out and worked with me and my landlord to get the job done without causing me a huge headache. A few more months later I started having an issue again with the pipes in the yard because my landlord didn’t replace the entire thing at one time, only the problem area. Victor came back out and got my landlord on the phone and really explained to him what needed to be done. Again Victor worked with my landlord to get the job done sparing me the headache. 2 days later Julio and his team showed up and completed the entire excavation and repair in one day. They were polite and professional and now I can do my chores without worrying about making those pipe problems worse. Highly recommend.

I had a clog on a Friday night. My first call was to Roto Rooter. Thomas came out and was awesome. He was professional, honest and respectful of my home. I did experience an issue with the camera man who came to look at my drain. But I emailed the corporate office and they took care of it. They made me a lifetime customer.

We had water leaking from the bottom of the sink in the master bedroom. I called Roto Rooter Plumbing and Water Cleanup as soon as I noticed it, which was late in the evening. They had someone here within the hour! The members of the crew were all extremely courteous and helpful. The plumbing issue was fixed in less than 24 hours! This is the second time in 1 month that I needed Roto Rooter's emergency water restoration services. As last time, the assessor arrived within 10 minutes, the technicians 30 minutes, and the plumber was later, but exactly at the promised time. Antonio and his coworker promptly went to work moving furniture, removing ceiling insulation, wall insulation, and setting up fans and dehumidifiers. They worked tirelessly for 3.5 hours. Rafael came the same day I called to repair my toilets. He did a great job, was friendly, and fixed both of them quickly. He gave me a 6 month warranty on the repairs which gives me comfort knowing I won't have to make another expense like this for a while.

This was my 2nd service call (separate issues) within 2 months after I purchased an older, remodeled home. I'm a Business Development Manager and work in customer service and I'm not easily impressed. Roto-Rooter and especially Julio Aleman #3318, my technician, were superb. After making the service call I was promised someone to be there within an hour. Due to unforeseen circ*mstances Julio was held up at his previous call but a lady from Roto-Rooter kept calling me to keep me updated when I can expect the technician to arrive. Wow! That alone was impressive. Julio arrived still within 2 1/2 hours which I found totally acceptable. He assessed the situation and gave me the best and worst case scenario and asked for permission to proceed with each new finding as they arrived. I really appreciated that as other companies probably would've just continued without asking. He showed me all of his concerns with the camera and explained them to me in layman terms. He was very honest, persistent and pleasant. He insisted in getting the job done no matter how long it would take. Fortunately he was able to fix my issue with his persistence, diligence and experience and I only paid for the best case scenario. As a new homeowner you can understand how relieved I was paying just a few hundred dollars versus a few thousand. Roto-Rooter may have not made a huge amount off of me but they gained a customer for life. I have 2 other projects I'm planning on doing this year and I will definitely call Roto-Rooter and request Julio. Rafael Davis from the San Antonio area came to unclog our drain in the early evening. He was extremely nice, professional and quality checked his work before he left. RR Tech wanted $1226 plus $ 60 on parts to replaced a plastic pipe union that other plumbing company did for $60 (and it took him 16minuts to do it). It is insane!! Using a dubious, to me, billing scheme. And this was on a tuesday morning appointment. Got a call from a supervisor today and basically the tech was withing RR policy. I will expose my experience on other platforms. Over $1226 to replace a plastic connector is insane, but for RR is normal.

Had to call on a Sunday for a water leak tech was out in less than two hours and his the leak repaired quickly and at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone who needs plumbing repairs. Just a follow up on my review, had a drain back up and once again Roto-Rooter did a fantastic job. Right on time and very efficient. Will be recommending them to anyone for service.

My 18+ year old water heater went out late last night. I called multiple places and found that most charge a service fee if it's after hours. Then I called Roto Rooter, they said no charge to come out and give a quote. That sold me!Jose came out and gave us a quote, and gave us some options. He was very professional, and honest. He even suggested ways we could save some money. After thinking and listening me husband and I agreed to accepting their service. I am so happy we did.Jose came over the next day and started working on it right away. He even noticed that a pressure regulator was not working, we had too much pressure. They arranged a faster rescue than the competition; the technician was clear in explaining what the problem was in the drainage (which was what we'd already guessed) and what he would do to solve the problem, adding an estimate of the cost. Rafael saved my night. Sewage water started backing up into my shower at 8 pm. After trying to contact another company and getting no feedback, I called Roto Rooter. Rafael was there in 40 minutes, walked me through every single step and explained every part of the process. The price did not deviate from what he quoted and was fair given he had to remove my toilet (and he took pity on the smelly situation with a 10% discount). He was extremely thorough, even after locating the clog, and made sure no water came back up. His work is also guaranteed for the next six months. I will need to replace one of my toilets soon; the only company I’m going to call is Roto Rooter for the install.

I called Roto-Rooter in the morning to request service for a running toilet. I was told a technician could come between 9 and 1 the same day and received an email confirmation. Received a courtesy call to let me know my request was still pending, then another call to say the technician was on his way. Called them up and Jim arrived within an hour on the same day to tackle an issue with our cold water not working. It was a super simple fix, a valve had gotten turned off. He was very kind and patient and explained what was wrong and how we could easily fix it in the future. Awesome guy, did an awesome job. Very happy with the service all around.

All around great and fast service. I called Tuesday to get a quote and when and if they would be able to come out due to a broken sewage line. Paul got to my property within the hour to go over everything including pricing and what they would do, as well as had another tech come out to mark the gas lines. They where ready to start Wednesday morning, but I asked that everything be scheduled for Thursday morning instead and they where able to work with my schedule. Mike came out with the rest of the crew and and explained what they would be doing and how long the work would possibly take. The service took about four hours which to me was not long at all.They also did have to take down my chainlink fence to get to my backyard but put it back just like it was. They also placed a Tenax safety barrier fence to prevent my dogs from the area till the inspector came out. I do feel mike went above and beyond his customer service by insuring me that my dogs would be okay to still roam the backyard. Like I said all around great and fast service.

My moms property had a terrible water leak under the AC and was wet under the floors. I decided to google some water restoration companies and chose rotor rooter. My mom has tenants in her property but roto rooter said they would contact us with more information as soon as they got to the property. Not only did they not contact us, they had the tenant sign the paperwork, and the tenant signed my moms name! She was not authorized to do that. The floor was ripped out and ripped out in places that were not wet. When it was time for them to get the drying machines the supervisor/leader of the job was rude. We thought maybe he was being rude to us because he has to work on a Saturday. I called the office to complain about the tenant signing my moms name and roto-rooter not letting us know what happened or what is going on and the lady that answered seemed so happy to be at work (not) said hold on and transferred me to a voicemail. The tenant said that rotorooter told her “that this was not going to be fixed and it was going to continue leaking.” This was not communicated to my mom at all. We called another company to fix the leak since it was not fixed the first time and was leaking a few days later. We used the water restoration and an ac tech from another company and even had used rotorooter plumber. Definitely will not be choosing companies based on good ratings anymore.

I had a leak at my water meter and called for service.. George Hinojosa (plumber #1191) showed up really quick and dug a giant hole to show me where the water was leaking from. He gave me an estimate, advised me of all of my options (and their cost), then replaced the leaking connection with a new pipe very quickly. I scheduled an appointment with RotoRooter after trying to clear a clog between my master and the rest of the house myself with no luck. Thomas arrived between the 4 hour window and was very professional. After explaining our problem and what I have already done, he gave us the options and explained the costs. He then went to work immediately and professionally and within 20 minutes had cleared the clog with no problem. The service seemed a little pricey but then again I don't know what a plumber costs. Their work is guaranteed for 6 months and the price was the price regardless of how long it would have taken them to complete the job which I also like. The price they quote you is what you pay. I had two objectives and both were taken care professionally. A new toilet was replaced quickly and properly. The bigger task was to replace the main sewer line from the house to the city sewer. Both Raul and George did great work while providing me with all the information I needed as the work progressed. They were very courteous had always carried a smile. The work entailed the removal of large limestone rocks as they cut through the ground. The hole was replaced by fresh dirt so as not to crack the new pipeline. We've had the great pleasure of working with Roto-Rooter twice within the past 12 months. Both times their staff provided excellent, professional service. We had a plumbing nightmare that destroyed our kitchen and they were so helpful with providing quick and helpful service, they really did a lot to mitigate additional damage and with their water restoration service. Excellent experience from start to finish. Roto-Rooter's camera discovered invasive tree roots and a collapsing main sewer pipe. Their guys immediately took action and were able to replace my 40yo PVC pipe with a thicker one. I am thankful for their hard work and ability to resolve my issue quickly. This was our second service call to Roto-Rooter (two different issues, it turns out). Even though it's SuperBowl Sunday, dispatch let us know a technician was on his way within 10 minutes of my placing the original call. The tech, Jeff M., arrived promptly. He courteously explained the problem as he found it and what he was going to do to repair. I felt like unlike a lot of plumbers, he never talked down at me -- he wanted me to really understand what had happened and why, which as a homeowner I appreciate. The cost was reasonable, especially considering it's Sunday, and he left a one-year guarantee so I have peace of mind.

He took the time needed to fix the problem, and then showed us where our plumbing challenges existed moving forward. An employee of Roto-Rooter came to our house to give an estimate on a few miscellaneous cosmetic plumbing issues. I declined their further serviced due to what seemed like an extremely high estimate. The company I did choose (local) completed all of the same work for 1/3rd the price of Roto-Rooter's estimate. I never knew Roto-Rooter was just another Company trying to take advantage of the elderly and desperate people.

Joe was extremely courteous and professional. He made sure that I was informed of every detail of his inspection and repairs. He also gave me some suggestions for the future. I would definitely go to Roto-Rooter again. I see why they have an iconic name and reputation.

Find anyone else to do your mitigation. This company not only missed major damage - after we requested they check a specific area because we knew where there had to be damage based on what happened - but they said they would talk to us about the issue, then never showed up. If you prefer to live with mold, then these are your guys. Otherwise, run to any other mitigation professional. We ended up bringing in a second team that found all the mold and damage they swore wasn't there. Insulting and dangerous.

We had a clog at our business in our kitchen which was preventing us from using it almost completely. The dispatcher said we'd get a call soon and Tom called us in about 20 minutes to let us know he was on the way. He fixed our problem quickly and offered some great maintenance advice that we hadn't been told by prior plumbers we had called about similar problems. Would definitely recommend and their number is now saved in my phone!

Our water heater started leaking Sunday night around 10 p.m. After calling another plumbing company that said they had 24 hour service, they never called back. We called Rotorooter and Ralph Morales was at our place in 20 minutes and helped us secure our situation. I went out and bought one the next day and Ralph came back and installed. He was quick, tidy and extremely informative and helpful. We are back up and running now...no cold shower tonight. Awesome service!

The drain from the house to the city line was clogged. Also there was a huge Oak Tree in my yard , the roots from the oak tree had grown into the pipe. We could see from the camera that they tried to put through the pipe that it was packed with roots.Juan and George came to the rescue. They worked hard, tracking the line. Digging with the right equipment and being careful to do an excellent job. They answered our questions politely. They overcame all problems quietly and efficiently. They worked together well. , were professional and persistent. When the job was done the hole was filled and we were happy that all was well.

My toilet was flushing super slow. I tried to unclog it myself but no luck. I called RotoRooter. They sent Julio 3318 and Jose 672 to my house. These two worked the issue from every angle and pulled out all the tools they had. They didn't give up until it was working. The price was well worth their efforts and the outcome. Good job!

What I liked about the service was the availability for an appointment and friendliness of the service technician. I was able to get an appointment the same day I called and within an hour of the call. The service guy arrived on time and was very friendly and courteous. I explained my concern and he provided a couple of options. Once I selected the option I wanted, he got right to work and had everything done quickly.What I didn't like was the price. Even with a coupon discount, the service price for what I wanted seemed pricey. If I hadn't wanted the service done immediately, I probably would have shopped around. However, if the treatment works then perhaps the price was worth it...time will tell.

Roto-rooter is the place to call if you need quality repairs ASAP. Had a break in our water main that the city deemed to be my responsibility. Johnnie and Rafael were awesome. These two were courteous and fast replacing the old cracked PVC with plex having our water back on in less than 2 hours. Highly recommended!!!! Unexpectedly my entire set of keys ended up down the toilet at 8 o’clock on a work a work night of course. I called and in less than 30 minutes Thomas was at my first one door. Before hand he gave me a courteous call and I was sent a confirmation email. He was extremely professional, polite and determined to get my keys back! He trouble shot starting with the simplest methods first attempting to not do any unnecessary steps to the house such as taking the toilet off. He did however end up taking the toilet off out of necessity. A 2nd Gentleman, Paul showed with a camera snake and attached a hook to the end and.... my keys were rescued in minutes!! These guys were so polite and just all around awesome.They even took the steps to go around my area rug on purpose so they would soil it!!

They were the only plumbers who could come on the same day for my backed up kitchen sink and dishwasher. Thomas arrived well within the 2 hour window given, and he was super. He explained everything as he went along and gave a few tips as well. He even strapped the hose from the dishwasher up out of the way to help with proper drainage. I will definitely ask for him again!

THANK YOU WILL! After having a competing company out yesterday with all kind of crazy estimates and expensive options we decided to call Roto-Rooter today, a Sunday by the way. Will came out and took a look, kept it super professional and after being in there about 10 minutes he came in and said it was clear. We were so impressed that he was honest and said it had cleared itself that we requested a camera inspection to confirm and for some peace of mind. Will gave us an estimate for the camera inspection and called his manger, who will be out later today with the camera (again on a Sunday). We will never call another company!

Had a visit from Dustin to unclog the bathtub. He gave me the price options. Under $100 if he could unclog without the machine, but over $300 if he needed to hook it up. It would have been real easy for him to tell me he needed the machine. Instead he was able to do it without it because as he told me before he started, he wanted to save me money. He also proved himself to be a great ambassador for the company by sharing other things the company does. Clearly, he is happy to work for these guys.

Called them when I found water leaking through our ceiling and the shutoff valve was broken to the toilet. They came over during the window I asked for, and were clean and professional. The plumber found the source quickly and with minimal areas cut open. Before I could ask he had a water restoration team over to go over the plan to treat this as quick as possible while also getting my insurance company on the phone to go over my claim together. Their team was in constant contact with me and provided business cards and written forms. They were recommended by a neighbor which used them recently. I called on a weekend afternoon, and a technician was onsite within a few hours. Very friendly and professional technician. We had a curious issue with slow draining to the septic system that Dustin was able to diagnose and resolve by evening. Pretty much the best you can hope for when a plumbing issue occurs.

Had RR come out because my kitchen sink was backing up. They arrived at the scheduled time and had the job done quickly. About an hour later another tech arrived to run a camera down the line to look for blockages. He was in and out pretty quickly too. My only complaint is that it had been raining when they arrived, and the first tech didn't put shoe covers on. I had some drop cloths handy and laid them down before he wheeled the auger in but still had a little mess to clean up. The second tech put the shoe covers on in his car, then walked across the wet and muddy driveway. He walked across a rug before I could move it and left tracks. Overall the service was great. I just wish the techs had been a little more thoughtful before entering my home.

Roto - Rooter plumbing saved our day repairing connections to our water heater. Called for service on Saturday at 7:00pm and they had a serviceman at the house by 10:00am. My experience with Rotor-Rooter was great! I contacted them about my master bathroom toilet backing up into my shower, so they sent somebody over at the most convenient time for me. They used a camera to show me that my sewer pipes were cracked from multiple locations. I was shocked and upset, but I was walked through the process of contacting my insurance co. to file a claim. A couple of days later my insurance co. denies my claim, which made me feel very distraught. Ever since my wife and I cancelled our horrible American Homeshield Warranty, we have used Roto-Rooter for our plumbing needs. They are easy to contact and almost always send someone the same day, even on weekends. Always polite and professional. They have fixed the water pressure regulator, hot water heater, and garbage disposal. Most recently our water softener broke, and Gary installed a flowtech anti scale system. All work has been done right the first time and they have never charged more than the estimate.Update: 6months later- The expensive Flowtech anti scale system did not work well in our house, with build up of scale on our shower heads, dishwasher, etc. I was worried I was going to be in for a drawn out back and forth with the company. However, Roto-Rooter made it right with minimal hassle. So impressed with their customer service!

They were able to come today and take care of the problem, unlike ASAP plumbing who came 3 days after this issue happened the first time and they did absolutely nothing to fix it! Joseph actually fixed the problem and described step by step what he would do and how much it would be before he started. ASAP plumbing flushed my toilet and ran water and charged $75 dollars for this “service” and Joseph, from Roto Rooter, took the time to check and see where and why my drain was backing up and fixed it! Had an appointment on Saturday for them to check my garbage disposal. They did not make it. No communication on their part. I had to call them to learn it was moved to Sunday. Sunday comes, they don't show up. Again, NO communication whatsoever. I had to call to find out again that they weren't going to make it.Maybe don't offer appointments with your clients that you can't keep.

We were so happy with Alex today in Spring Branch. We just moved in to our home when the septic system backed up. He was able to arrive quickly and resolved the problem also very quickly. A nice pleasant surprise after the not-so-pleasant surprise of toilets and sinks backing up. Thank you Alex.

I called Roto rooter around 9:00 this morning, set up an appointment to fix as leak under my kitchen sink. First they sent me an email message and said they would be out between 11:00 am and 1:00pm, and I would get a call before the worker arrived. At 1:30pm I called the administration office who transferred me to dispatch. I spoke with dispatch and informed them that I haven't heard from the worker and it was outside of the 2hours. The dispatcher then told me he was on his way, never received a call. When he came in he diagnosed the problem. He informed me he needed to replace the basket strainer which cost $40 and he charges $300 an hour for labor. I asked do they honor military he said 10% discount. I found a $40 coupon, he would not honor both one was a discount the other was coupon. He completed the work in 15 minutes and I still got charged $300 for 15 minutes of work and he was late.

They offer a free estimate which has been rare for me. I called and got an appointment the same day. The team was very professional and quick. The job only took a few minutes. The team that serviced me were Raphael & Johnny. I also found a coupon for $ 60 off the total price. Which really helped a lot. Even though their prices are reasonable.

I would not recommend this company. Arrived after stated timeframe and never followed up to let me know. I had to call them. Agent came out and had no receipt slips. Paid and the person said they would come out the next day, never did. He also stated I could have a supervisor come out and put a camera into the pipe. I called to schedule this and no supervisor ever called. I had to call them back and then was advised there is a $450 charge for this, after I alrready paid $341 for roto services. The customer should not have to jump through hoops, and they need to give prices upfront. I recommend looking for or getting a referral to another company.

Words can’t describe my appreciation to David Gonzalez for replacing my PRV. He started at the very basic of ensuring where the issue is coming from at the same time explaining the process in terms that a non plumber would understand and awesome analogy he used. Roto Rooter was great! I called them at 4:30 and they offered to come out same day.The technician was held up, but the office gave me a call to let me know his status so I wasn't just sitting there waiting.They ended up coming the next day to help me with my plumbing needs. My water heater had sprung a leak and I needed it taken care of as soon as possible since it's in the attic. I've never had to use a plumber in San Antonio before, or even a plumber at all but this experience was great. They explained everything to me and were very understanding the whole time.I would recommend this to a friend, and I would use them again.

Not sure how they charge residential customers but businesses beware. My business' kitchen sink was clogged so I thought instead of DIYing I would call a professional.The Roto-Rooter plumber came out very quickly and snaked the drain, for $310. It took him less than 15 minutes. The clog drained right after he finished. I thought all is well, even though I thought the price was high.The next day the sink was clogged again. I called them back out. They were again very punctual, a different plumber snaked the drain again. Again, the sink drained when he was finished. I thought all is well.The next day the sink clogged again. Their 30 day warranty only consists of one additional visit after the initial appointment. The 30 day warranty isn't really 30 days.In the end I decided to DIY it. I bought some Instant Power Hair and Grease Remover in the black bottle (good stuff, highly recommend) and a VPC Kleer Drain Opener that uses air to clear pipes from Home Depot. It's been 3 weeks since we applied these two remedies and I'm happy to say we have had no issues since.

My technician Justin was awesome. He went above and beyond to repair my plumbing issue. He made sure we understood what he was doing and what we needed to maintain the health of our pipes. We had another company that wanted to charge us 14000 for a nonexsisting problem. Justin found what the actual issue was and fixed it. He was awesome and greatly appreciated.

We just bought a house, our washer was delivered and both the hot and cold faucets (valves) leaked. We called Roto-Rooter at 4 p.m., told them it wasn't an emergency and they came the next day. Our technician was fast, knowledgeable, enthusiastic. And we got a 1 year warranty on the newly installed valves. We're super happy.

My toilet tank was leaking at the seal connected to the base. After I called, I was contacted within the hour by a repairman to schedule an appointment. He was there on time and upon entering the house introduced himself (Jeff) and put booties over his shoes. He completed the repair and it was up and running quickly. He was courteous and capable. The price seemed a bit high but I think that plumbers are expensive wherever you go. Overall, a very positive experience.

We had a backup in our sewer line that conveniently occurred about 8pm on a Friday night when our usual plumber was already off for the week. We were unable to flush any toilets or shower without potentially flooding our downstairs bathroom. Roto-rooter had someone at our house within an hour and the issue resolved in less than 30 minutes after that. Our plumber, Thomas, was very friendly, helpful and straightforward about the issue and even clued us in to a coupon that was available online to reduce costs. My overall experience with service technician Julio-#3318 was 5 stars--he came out and spent over two hours to make sure he got out clog out of our drain line and cleaned our pipe, he educated us on the issue and let us know he could have someone come give a quote for the repair/replace when we decide to do it. He knew we were very frustrated with the entire situation and experience and made it right. Hire more Julio's!

Out tenant sent us video of overflowing pipe along with a call that water was coming into her tub while she ran the washing machine. Needed an immediate fix for my bathtub faucet. The assigned plumber, Randell, got to my house within an hour after calling in the repair. Randell was very quick and courteous. I highly recommend him as your go-to plumber. He explained the repair process clearly and respectfully, and also gave me some extra advice. I believe he went above and beyond. Receiving his service was a huge relief after stressing out all day trying to find a plumber/plumbing company that could come out to fix my faucet immediately.

As a first time customer with roto-rooter I was very pleased with the service and the guy that came out was very helpful and new his job really well. We found a leak on my daughter's ceiling and we were worried it was something major. My husband thought it was a plumbing issue and I thought it was an A/C unit problem. We called our home warranty and was told it would be 2 days before someone could come out. Called roto rooter the next morning and they were at my house within an hour. Johnny was my technician. He was absolutely fantastic. He was able to tell me exactly what the problem was, which was the A/C pan being tilted. He even set it back up. There is no more dripping. He even set up the water restoration team to come out to see if there was further damage. Roto rooter you guys are awesome. You guys rock!

Very fast response each time I called. I was going to give 4 stars as the items we needed were not installed correctly to what we had discussed, but immediately after bringing it to the tech's attention he came out and fixed it within a few hours of notifying him. Jim was very professional and provided great service on the phone and in person. He was very informative and made sure all parties were aware of each part of the process. To pricey for the little work completed. Wrong information told to my home warranty company so they wouldn't pay for it. Will not call this company for any plumbing issues again. Let me clarify my review a little further. The plumbing service was my issue. The restoration team was awesome, professional & communicative (5 stars). George Rangel was my tech and just left my home at 1:30 AM!!! He showed up just after midnight after I called for a backed up drain. George was extremely professional and curtious. He explained everything throughly and made sure I was aware what was going on the whole time. He took care of business and made sure I was happy. My experience with this company - but especially with the tech Jose Q was truly 5 star! It was so easy to schedule on line and from then on I was notified as to when he would arrive, which was all very prompt and as promised. This was not an emergency call, basically just cleaning lines to septic tank, it was still prompt, same-day service -- very much appreciated.Jose was very courteous, easy to talk to, answered any questions and spent time explaining what needed to be done and how much it would cost, there were no surprises or added costs. Paul the camera guy came by later to show me what was going on inside those lines, with some recommendations for me to consider.Even more importantly, Jose was very careful about not making a mess, and cleaned up any run overs or spills in and under the kitchen sink and even the crud that came out of the cleanout hole on the patio - this is just one more thing to back up my 5 star rating - will certainly use them again! My toilet was leaking, causing water damage to the ceiling on the first floor of my home. Roto-Rooter had a plumber and water mitigation crew at my home within the hour. The plumber (Jeff Meares) did a great job and communicated very well on what was going on with my plumbing. The water mitigation crew (Travis and Diamond) also did great and were as minimally invasive as possible. I'm very pleased with my experience. Mike helped a lot to get me through the insurance and to explain exactly what was going on.

It was 3 weeks ago on a Sunday morning when we had a backupped drain from the kitchen causing overflow to laundry. I called a couple 24 hr plumbers..most couldn't get there until late that afternoon. Called Roto-Rooter, Dustin (#3381), arrived within an hour, diagnosed the issue and had it cleared in 20 minutes...painless, reasonable, fast and professional. Phenomenal experience..didn't have to miss work waiting on a plumber!

My bathroom shower valve broke water was gushing all over my bathroom had to turn off the main water source . I had no idea how to fix this problem and nobody to help me so the first thing I did was open the Yellow Pages and to my amazement the first ad that I saw was rotor router plumbing and drain services . I took it as a sign from the heavens so I gave them a call and the person on the other line was very helpful and understanding and considerate she said someone was coming over the same day to help me out with my problem that was in good hands . Three hours later to my amazement there was a white van that said rotor router on it and a technician named Jeff introduced himself and said he was here to help me out with my problem . Jeff went straight to the bathroom took a look at everything and said I can fix this and went to his van and took all his tools and started working he took a couple of hours but the job that he did was amazing . I can't believe the same day that I had the issue with the plumbing I had Jeff come and fix it rotor router is awesome and Jeff knew exactly what he was doing .My shower looks like there was nothing wrong with it .I'm actually using it already a day later and and I recommend that if you have a similar problem you give rotor router a call and if you want to have a great technician ask for Jeff .

I had used Roto Rooter at my company's office in Fredericksburg and they have always been great. I had a problem at my home which another plumber failed to resolve because he didn't listen to me and was more interested in selling me a new water heater. Johnny at Roto Rooter listened to the information I gave him and immediately diagnosed the problem. He wrote me a very detailed invoice (to the penny) and advised me about a a coupon I could take advantage of online. He was 100% professional, courteous and friendly. He was finished in under an hour and completely resolve my issue. I will NEVER call anyone else but Roto Rooter!

Long story short, poor performance from plumbers. Worse performance from dispatch. Advertises 24/7 service, only has plumber available from 8am-8pm... surprise that's 12 hours.... Not the best at math but i know they are lying somewhere. They cancelled our appointment, i called to check up, they said they wouldn't be coming out. This was the second time in one day they were supposed to come out, the first plumber did nothing. Now I've been sitting on hold for 16 minutes just ringing. The dispatcher obviously didn't want to do her job in the slightest. This was how they treated a business client with multiple calls completed in the past. I would scroll on by and choose the next person like I'm going to have to do.

We had a great experience with Roto-Rooter and really appreciated the fact they came out late on a Friday night to assist us with our back-up. Jose (#672) was our technician and proved to be very thorough, professional and explained everything he was doing. We would recommend Roto-Rooter to our friends and family.

My son's resident home in San Antonio had a major drain clog problem.I being a Rotor Rooter customer called the local Rotor Rooter location to get service. Call was made and the agent handling the call was very polite and helpful. We had a service representative at the resident within a 2-hour period The responding representative (David Hohensee) was very professional and and right away help in repairing the problem. Great job by Rafael to quickly diagnose the problem, explain it to me and fix it. My water pressure was low and it was as simple as bypassing my water softener which needs replacement. He gave me an estimate for a new water softener, but did not try to hard sell me a new one.

On Good Friday, April 14th, My sink backed up and I had 2 inches of water in the garage Saturday morning, Holy Saturday. I had to leave for work. later that day, I called 4 other plumbers, ( 1 plumber had an emergency number and I NEVER got a call back.). LOL. I never used Roto Rooter and was resistant. Worried about not knowing anyone who worked for them. I called and spoke with Karla and Ann. They were very professional. Paul came out Saturday evening. He was very professional and taught me about my drains and why they were clogged. I was very pleased with my service. My drains got cleared and I was ready for the Easter Holiday.Thank-you Paul and Roto- Rooter company. I will recommend you to anyone who asks.

Water pipe leak in attic so water shut off throughout the house. RR said they could attend same day (Saturday) and they did. Leak fixed!

We had a slow toilet seal leak in an upstairs bathroom that was not noticed for an unknown period of time. Because the underfloor and joists had been wet for awhile, there was a likely chance we were going to have to have structural repair done. Sam from Roto-Rooter was diligent and patient in working with us over the course of a week to remediate the water, moisture and mold. At the end of the week the area was dry and clean enough to validate structural repair was not required. Great customer service!

Jose Q#672 was able to fix a very complicated problem we had here. He worked very efficiently and now everything is working great. He was very pleasant to talk to and afterwards he explained all about the service he completed. If there were more than a 5 star rating I would rate him far above that. He didn't leave me a big mess like some plumbers do. He was very neat and efficient in his job.

Our toilets were not flushing and we had roots growing in our main drain under our house. Victor Espinosa came our and found the problem with his camera. He had plumbers come out and they took care of our problem quickly and efficiently. We are very pleased and will call Roto Rooter again next time we have a plumbing issue. Thank you Victor.

Incredibly dependable, friendly, reliable, and quick. Our favorite technician is Joe. He has been to our house a couple of times over the few years that we've been living here. He even remembered our specific problems from several months ago. He provided us with the maximum discount possible using our coupons. Our main sewer line was backed up. Joe ran the camera down the line and found roots growing through the pipe. He gladly showed and walked me through the process of what would be required to fix the problem. He gladly wrote me up and estimate, gave me his card, and said that whenever we were ready to proceed to give him a call. We called back about a week later and they were able to schedule Joe to come back out the following morning (only about 12hrs from the time we called). We did not expect them to come out and work through the night, and we certainly didn't expect them to come back out that next day. We were just hoping that they'd be able to come back out within a week. We found this company using Angies list, but wanted to post reviews at every possible site to help everyone out there when they're in need. I'd say if you need any plumbing work done, call these guys, THEY'RE GREAT!!!

Hi my name is Chris and i just used RotoRooter to fix the main waterline to my home after being frustrated that i could not do it myself. I called them a 1-800-GET-ROTO and spoke with Mrs. Diane who was a wonderful phone operator that was quick and funny. When the time came down to it George H. was the man to do the job he was very professional arriving on time and keeping me great company. He worked diligently and fixed my main water line in just 2 hours solving the biggest problem my weak decided to throw at me.

I contacted a professional company hoping I would receive professional service. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The technician that came to my rental property did not try to do what was necessary to fix my leaking shower, instead he created more problems than I had and charged me exorbitant amounts to fix it. I am located out of state and hoped to get honest service. This is not what I got. The technician broke the new shower valve that had just been installed and charged me for a new one even though, it was his incompetence that broke it. He never turned the water on to look for and fix the leak. Instead he ripped everything out and started over. Then, he proceeded to charge me for problems in my water heater that did not exist. I was unable to confirm this until days later, as I stated, I am located 1,000 miles away. I will file a formal complaint and write another review on how the company handles it.

Unfortunately for me i had to replace 2 water heaters in my 14 year old house within 3 months of each other, but fortunately for me I used Roto-Rooter. They are always professional, experienced and have great customer service. Although you never want to have to make repairs or replacements to your home, knowing that you have a professional company like Roto-Rooter makes it much easier and I would definitely recommend them to anyone else needing plumbing repairs or replacements.

I don’t know how this company has so many good ratings. At first I was impressed with service, but that evening, after 2.5 hours of waiting I called back and rescheduled the service for the following day since it was becoming to late and an ETA couldn’t be provided. I wrote this off, because it was an emergency & figured they were trying to squeeze me in. My service time the following day was between 10am-2pm, I called at 1230 for an ETA and was just told there were several technicians in my area and I would be next but dispatcher couldn’t provide me with an ETA because she was waiting on first avalaible. I heard nothing, at 2pm since my service window had ended I called back, this time the dispatcher was incredibly rude, stating that I had just called her and she couldn’t give me an ETA and that I would just have to wait & she would call me when someone was available. I didn’t hear from anyone until 4pm! By that time, I had contacted another plumbing service & the technicians were at my house fixing the water heater within an hour.

Joe was our service representative and he was very informative. He walked me through every step of the process and give me a lot of information on water softeners and the effect on our water heater. I would recommend using Roto Rooter and be sure and ask for Joe.

So they promised to be here between 8:30pm and 10:30pm behave they were running late. I didn’t like it but accepted it. 11:00pm rolls around and the dispatch team said it would be another two hours. So here I am at 12:45 and still no technician. When I called, they said the tech moved my appointment to the next business day. He never notified me. All this was work that they guarantee and failed after 8 weeks after a $650 installation. I would never recommend or use them again. Buyer be ware!!!!!!

Roto Rooter has done quite a few plumbing jobs for me over the last 5 months. Satisfied with their work, their work is good. Was not to happy with a 4 hour window to get someone out to my place and of course they didn't show up till 4.5 hours later and I had an appointment to go to. If they don't have time to do the appointment then say so or hire enough people to cover the work load. This happens every time. Then they don't ever have the parts on their truck to do the work so they have to go get the parts. So a job that would have taken them maybe 40 mins. to do ends up 1.5 hours and I get charged 400.00 bucks for a piece of pipe that is probably not even 12 . I felt that 200.00 would have been a fair price . Four hundred is outrageous. I think there is something wrong with the fact they do not itemize their bills. You should see exactly what you are paying for - Parts, labor, trip charge.

Jeff showed up on a Sunday afternoon and spent hours in the heat fixing the PVC connection from our house to the water utility's meter. I had expected just the estimate, but he stayed to do the job and I was very grateful. Very knowledgeable. Would recommend and will use again,

Called when I could hear water running when none of the appliance or baths were using water. Had a leaky hot water pipe in my foundation. Randall was there all three days. We had running water every night before he left. We had our hot water back day two. Randall was friendly and definitely went above and beyond showing us how to do minor maintenance on our faucets. He also caught some potentially dangerous leftover work done by the previous owner and made us aware. They were very accommodating when it came to payments (we had to wait for the insurance checks to come in the mail). Would definitely call again and ask specifically for Randall.

Jose Quirino was by far the utmost kind passionate caring worker I've shook hands with in a long long time. Our house was holding water and we needed someone quick THAT DAY who knew how to fix a problem. And Roto-Rooter were the ones who took their jobs to the next level. Not ONLY did Jose assist me same day as my problem but he was quick to arrive, he went out of his way to move a TON of obstructing rocks that cover my the area needed being worked on, and also was very informative every step of they way and let me observe the scope to assure me of everything happening. I with out a doubt will ALWAYS give Roto-Rooter a call before anyone else for they know how to make you feel important and make sure the job is done accurately!

Seriously FANTASTIC! I had them out twice in 1 week, for related problems - hot water heater pipe leaks in my attic First leak (pipe near top of hot water heater) was fixed after great communication. George was extremely professional & courteous. Second leak was the drainplug on the bottom of the hot water heater which had a slow drip after being opened & due to its age, would not stop. First plumber, George, advised me to watch it and gave me an estimate to replace it. When I called them out to do the work, Johnny arrived and was every bit as professional and courteous as George. He had to drain the entire unit and go to great lengths to replace the drain plug. Both guys had to work in my attic for a long period (2-3 hours) in the Summer heat and it had to be 110 degrees or more in there. They explained everything, never complained, and did a fantastic job at very reasonable prices. These are easily my go to guys if I ever have a plumbing problem again!

Jose Quirino came out this morning to fix a water leak in the line and did a great job in fixing the problem. I had a stopped kitchen sink with standing water and it all happened on the morning of Memorial Day. I was afraid we'd have to wait until normal business hours, but Roto-Rooter had someone to my house within an hour. David quickly resolved the issue and showed me, via color camera, that the drain was indeed clear. Great service and fast.

We noticed water coming up from the ground on the side of the house and immediately called Roto-Rooter. Dispatch called back right away letting us know that a tech can come out. They arrived within an hour but it was already so late in the day (I called a little after 5pm) so we were so happy they were able to come the same day and so late in the day on such short notice. They were able to diagnose the issue and fix the problem.

Made an appointment by phone and received a call the next morning informing me that a Roto-Rooter team member was on the way. Journeyman Plumber Johnny Garcia arrived within the scheduled time and determined my water heater needed replacement. After explaining what was required and the cost he removed the old water heater and met me at Home Depot to pick out my new water heater and necessary parts. After returning to my home and only three hours since his arrival he had installed and tested my new water heater. Johnny Garcia was great and provided an excellent example of Roto-Rooter customer service. Thank you Johnny for a job well done!

Mr. Thomas Cooper was very prompt. He arrived a lot early than I expected which is a plus for me since I am retired Air Force. He was very courteous and explained everything in detail. We had an emergency where the tub faucet would not shut the water off and of course this happens at 9pm. We shut off the water to the house, but we could not go without water all night because we have my elderly mother living with us and we really need running water because of her health needs. Roto Rooter sent out Nick Dominguez to fix the problem. Let me just say he totally saved the day. He kept us totally informed on what need to be done from start to finish. Words simply aren't enough for what an AMAZING job Michael, Sam, Travis, Johnnie & Rafael did.When water is leaking on you in your bed when you're sleeping, it's an EMERGENCY. And they treated it as that. Calling a 247 service line at 3:00 a.m. I wasn't sure what kind of service I could expect. They arrived within 15-20 minutes to evaluate the problem, cut my water off, helped me file my claim and then sent the plumbers out.Micheal guided me through the process.Sam and Travis were exceptional in moving my stuff and cleaning up the water damage.Johnni and Rafael were very thorough in letting me know what the problem was and how they planned to fix it. First encounter for my water heater was 5 stars: fast response, tech was on time, tech was knowledgeable and told me what was going on; the pilot light had gone out, so I had him relight it and I knew I could have them re-evaluate within 6 months free of charge if it went out again.Well, it did go out within a week. Second time the tech was on time but not so quick to carefully examine the water heater and said it should be replaced; I figured this would be the case so I asked him about purchasing my own instead of through them and after checking and verifying the unit I picked out would work, he agreed to do it, quoted me, and said he'd come back within 45 minutes to install it. I ran to Home Depot to pick up the water heater and returned; I hadn't received a call regarding the tech to return so I called and they arranged to have him come out again. I got a call at 5 PM from the plumber that he couldn't come out because the shop he needed to get the parts from was now closed. I reluctantly rescheduled for the next day (Saturday) in the afternoon. I received a call just shy of the end of the time frame the tech was supposed to be at the house and he told me he couldn't do the work this time because someone didn't pull the permit, so it would have to be rescheduled for Monday. I was livid since I had been waiting for the tech for several hours as it was, but reluctantly agreed since I didn't have much choice under the condition that it get done first thing in the morning. I got the follow up call from the dispatcher and informed them of the reschedule (they were clueless this had transpired).Monday morning I waited. I got a call from the dispatcher that the tech was on his way 30 minutes prior to the end of the scheduled time frame. An hour later I had no phone call and no tech. I called back and apparently the tech was AWOL: not answering phone calls. I called the local office and demanded that someone come out to fix the issue. Another tech was scheduled but he was coming from Seguin and wouldn't be able to get to my house until about an hour later; again, I reluctantly agreed. I was told I would get 15% off my service to apologize for the hassle. The tech showed up around noon and after going back and forth trying to make sense of the various quotes and the work that had to be done, I got him to start working. There were multiple phone calls and additions and subtractions related to what had to be brought up to code and what was still acceptable regarding the existing piping. I did have to run down to the Home Depot (again) to get a CO/smoke detector because apparently that's a new code item. By the end of the day, 5 PM, I finally had a working water heater installed. So, while the first and last tech went through a lot of effort to try and make my experience good, the second tech and miscommunication between the techs and the dispatchers brought down the score to only 3 stars. I may use them again since they did get the job done and put in quite the effort to do so; however, I am disappointed by the overall experience and time I had to waste.

Very responsive in the time we needed it, day before Thanksgiving! Nick Dominguez Plumber #2364, was fast, friendly and educated my husband and I on what our problem was and how to fix it. I would definitely recommend Roto-Rooter and Nick to anyone that needs plumber ASAP.

Contact Roto-Rooter for a clogged drain, The plumber came from San Antonio and was very nice and helpful and told me to check with my home owners insurance to make sure had a rider for repairing pipes under the house. Only draw back was the price for a 15 minute job.. $250.. Seems high to me to unclog a drain. Even though the company was nice I will do some more price comparing before making a decision on who I call to complete this type of work.

We got home late from class and work and called Rotorooter. They got a technician (Paul #507) out here really fast and he gave us an awesome discount. He also gave us some tips on preventive maintenance and provided an excellent product to assist with keeping the drains clean to avoid costly repairs. Paul was very professional and personable. Having a plumber come to your home is often not a very pleasant experience, because you already know it is probably going to be expensive. We were especially tired after a long day, but even though I'm sure Paul had also had a long day, he really went above and beyond the call of duty. We were very impressed and happy with his work.

Wow! I knew had a problem in my bathroom with a leaky faucet, but I didn't know how much it would hurt financially to fix the problem so I put off calling a plumber for a few months. I didn't even know who to call so I Googled plumbers. I saw Roto-Rooter had a lot of positive reviews so I decided to give them a call. When asked when I would like someone to come by, I replied ASAP. Within minutes, there was a knock at the door. I had seriously just got off the phone, and Jon, a master plumber, was at my door. He was courteous, professional, and all that good stuff, but what I really appreciated was that he gave me an accurate estimate as well as a best and worst case scenario. He could have totally taken advantage, but he was honest and fair. It turned out to be a best case scenario and an easy fix. He also thoroughly investigated other concerns I had that resulted from the leak. I would definitely recommend Roto-Rooter, and I plan to ask for Jon Duncan for the next plumbing issue I have.

I wanted to acknowledge the plumber who performed the work in this review. I was extremely pleased with Julio Aleman and want to make sure he gets the praise he deserves. Julio was very knowledgable, and he completed the work very quickly. He was a very professional and courteous individual. He arrived after hours on a holiday, which a lot of companies would charge as overtime, but the rate was not adjusted for that. Overall, I am pleased with Roto-Rooter, but the only thing I would suggest the company improve on is its pricing. While I understand RR is a nation-wide brand, I do believe they have to maintain competitive pricing. Another thing is the dispatch, which is separate from the actual providers. They may say something to you, and the provider may not have been informed. It's good to try and keep this in mind as the plumbers are doing their best with the info they receive. The staff was completely disparaging. The dispatcher committed to having a technician at my house within 2 hours but did not show up. It was an emergency call for the whole house drainage backing up. I wish they would have at least called instead of leaving us just waiting in the night for a plumber. No call, no show... I had to call them after 2 hours, to tweeze out any information. All talk no action. This is what happens when they know they got you where they want you. VAN said he was going to transfer me to a Supervisor but deflected instead and never did that either...

Roto-Rooter sent a plumber 1.5 hours after I called on a Sunday. We had a leak in our ceiling that was eventually identified as a leaking condensation line from our HVAC unit. The gentleman was very open, efficient, and transparent. The costs were explained upfront and he was willing to show us what the problem was. He never proceeded with anything without verifying that we approved of the action.

On Saturday night at 8 pm, I arrived home to a flooded bedroom. A water pipe in the attic had leaked causing extensive damage to the room. I called RotoRooter and they arrived within 1 hour. They sent an inspector, a plumber, and a restoration crew. The plumber immediately fixed the leak which allowed me to stay in my own home for the night! The restoration crew worked tirelessly until 3 AM to remove the flooring, wallboard, and insulation. They also installed dehumidifiers to speed the drying process. Over the next 5 days, Antonio checked on the machines and the moisture content daily. Colton and Darrel answered all of my phone calls and questions very professionally. When they were finished, I received a packet of reports that verified the results. All of the employees involved helped to make an extremely stressful situation as calm as possible.

From the beginning my service was impeccable. I reached out on a Sunday morning with a concern and the rep that answered picked up on my sense of urgency. Ricky was there by the afternoon and it took him less than 15 mins to complete the service. Was unable to use the washing machine because it kept backing up. Tried to fix problem myself, but no luck. Called Roto-Rooter, Jose Quirino came out. We went through 5 different bids from companies out here in San Antonio they all tried to charge us almost double than what we paid with Roto Rooter. Gentlemen name Randy came and serviced two of our homes and we got the best service ever from him. Ask for Randy for your technician he knows his stuff.

Terrible experience. Unlike their promise on their phone recording, they are neither prompt NOR professional. They scheduled a window for service between 10-2. At 12:30 they called and told us someone would be here within the hour. Two and a half hours later we called them, and were told nobody was available. I asked the dispatcher, Keisha, why, if nobody was available, had someone called to promise they were on their way and would be here within the hour at 12:30. Keisha essentially said I was lying, that nobody would have told me that (the absolutely did). When I explained that to her, she became rude, and would only repeat loudly the phrase nobody is available at this time. At no time was she even remotely apologetic for their failure to show up on time. I asked to speak to her supervisor, and after a 5 minute hold, I spoke to Jay. Jay said he would look into the promise to arrive in an hour and review the call with Keisha, and would send someone as soon as they became available. 90 minutes later, at 4 30, we called them and explained we had to leave to meet a dinner reservation, and asked if they could send someone between 7-8 that night when we returned. They said no. Someone would call us on our cell when they we available and we could come home. As we would be eating across town, that obviously wouldn't work. They refused to work with us to send someone when we would be home, only offering to send someone whenever they became available or the next day. We cancelled the appointment at that time. A minute later they called and said someone could be there in a half an hour (after we had told them we were leaving for dinner...thanks but no thanks). We scheduled our plans for the entire day around their promise to be here between 10 and 2. We even gave them several hours of additional time to show up, and all they provided was empty promises and rude treatment. The name Roto Rooter used to mean something.

I received a call informing me when the plumbers were on the way which was convenient and accurate. They provided a reasonable and comprehensive estimate when I explained the situation. An old toilet was removed, clogged sewer and laundry line were cleaned, I was able to see what was causing the clog (ROOTS), and a new commode was installed. Excellent service by courteous and knowledgeable plumber. I would have given 5 stars, but the dispatch situation was jacked up. I called for service at 3:15 PM and was told a serviceman would be out in 4 hours. I was called 2.5 hours later and told that my serviceman was running late but would be at our house that night. An hour later, I was told that no one would be at my house until 8AM the next morning.

I live in the country and on my own septic tank, which is old. I had a backup problem about a week ago, and called Roto Rooter, remembering that they were the ones who came out about 3 years ago and told us we had roots growing inside a joint of the sewage pipes under the house. It was in the afternoon, and I had already called some other places, who said they could come, but the trip charge would be $$$, plus it would be time and a half for anything they did. So, when Roto Rooter told me that the trip charge was free, and they would diagnose it for free, and let me know what needed to be done before they did anything, I was in disbelief! They sent Paul Barcus, #507, out from San Antonio, about 30 miles to my house. He was friendly, professional, and explained in detail what he was going to do and how much the cost was. We decided to wait for a few days so my adult son could be here. I made my decision, and after the Project Manager, came out and pinpointed the exact location of the problem, I decided to just have the roots, rooted out for now! So, he immediately called Paul again, and he came out within 2 hours, took care of the problem, and gave me a warranty for 6 months to boot! 3 round-trips from San Antonio, for no charge! And now I can relax since I have company arriving in a few days, that all will be well! Again, Paul was a dear, and reassured me that if I needed anything at all, to just call him on his private cell phone! Now, where can you get service like that these days? Probably only at Roto Rooter!

The plumber showed up early. Upon the initial call I was given a time frame for the anticipated visit. Then I received a phone call that gave an even earlier time, and the plumber showed up. Since I had the water to my house turned off, I really appreciated the quick response. The plumber was efficient. I had attempted to do my own plumbing repair and he came in and restored everything. I highly recommend Roto-Rooter! Everyone, from the dispatcher to the plumber, Jim Fisher, that showed up at my house at 11:30pm to take care of my problem was professional, courteous, compassionate, and honest! I broke my kitchen faucet at about 10pm the night before I was to have a real estate showing on my home the next day at 11am. The dispatcher that I first spoke to followed up, like he said would, after he spoke to a plumber. Then, when Mr. Fisher showed up, he answered all my questions, calmed my panic, and was able to replace my faucet even though he had been at work since 7:30 that morning! I can't thank you enough!

If you have a plumbing need, contact Roto-Rooter. Within two weeks time I had a leak under the kitchen sink and a clogged main drain. Both occurred on the weekend and both times I received same day, prompt, excellent service at a reasonable cost. Extra kudos to my plumber, Richard Ramirez, who not only took the time to explain the problems and best course of action, but also came to help me out on his day off.

The plumber wanted to charge $350 to literally change a water supply line on my master bathroom sink. After I called and talked to a manager, the price dropped to $120.I had to make several calls, text and emails prior to finally receiving pictures of the water damage and meter readings needed for insurance purposes. I received them 13 days after the incident happened.

Gary Phillips and crew performed huge repair on main sewer line that ran completely across front yard, next to large tree and under sidewalk next to street. Gary and his team were courteous and highly professional as they explained how this new sewer line replacement technology works. It doesn't require digging up yards and hacking through sidewalks. Overpriced and misdiagnosed my issue. I had a sewer backup. Called out roto rooter. They ran the snake and unclogged the line just fine, but it was very expensive. Then the camera guy came out. He ran the camera snake and found a root in my pipes. Only problem was when we had a second opinion given the location of the root was off by over 10 feet!Not sure how this could have happened. Very expensive for what you get and their salesman really used a lot of scare tactics when our situation was not as bad as we were being told.

I am so grateful for the prompt, professional service I received today. A leak in my front yard threatened to be a long, drawn out, expensive repair. One company I called told me to expect to pay a few thousand dollars! But Randell Nunn of Roto-Rooter exposed the cracked connection, dug out the roots and rocks and replaced the connector in less than two hours. While he worked, he educated me about the routing of the lines and the materials used. He worked flat out until the job was done and then billed me for substantially less than I expected to pay. I had a back up problem with the drain in the shower and toilet. I called another cpmpany, but they could not come out for a free estimate until 6 or 8 tonight. So i called Roto-Rooter and they were able to come to my house for a free estimate with in the hour. Which was perfect for me. When Ralph Morales tech #2885 and co-worker (sorry, i don't remember his name) came to the house, i explained and showed the problem we were having and Mr. Morales gave me an estimate on what it would cost. The price that Mr. Morales quoted me was lower than what the actual cost for repair was, but Mr. Morales honored the price that was first given to me. That said alot of not only the company, but also the employee for honoring the price first quoted. I was very pleased with the customer service and work that was done. I will definitely be giving them a call the next time I have problems with my Plumbing issues.

We had a bad block in our main line going to our Aerobic Septic sys. One call to Roto-Rooter and their organized dispatcher Ben quickly located a tech that visited us right away. David worked hard to solve our problem but didn’t have all of the needed equipment in his unit. He immediately called another unit that was across town on another job but was willing to take over with specialized equipment regardless of the late hour. We decided to wait until the next morning. Donny came quickly even though I was told by the dispatcher that a technician would come early afternoon and I would receive a call 30 minutes before he arrived. He was at the door at 11am and finished within an hour. He cleared the clog from the kitchen drain and made sure to leave a contact number if his services were needed again. They showed up 2 hours after we called. The plumber was honest and upfront on the price. Removed the toy clogging our toilet drain. Our experience was very good. If price was a little cheaper, they would have gotten the fifth star. Considering their timeliness though, we were pleased.

Plumbing emergency occurred Saturday morning while I was caring for my elderly mother. I called multiple plumbers and the only one who could help right away was Ronnie from Roto Rooters. A quick 15 minutes and the problem was fixed and I was able to clean up the overflow. I will definitely call them in the future!

Roto-Rooter answered quickly, dispatched within two hours, called 30 min prior to arrival and sent two technician specialists. One for water clean up/restoration and one for diagnostics/repair. I Received exceptional service from both Darryl,on the water restoration service, & Dave for diagnostics, excavating and fixing a broken pipe in our front yard. We were only in our new house a day before the main sewage drain pipe broke resulting in a household back up through our downstairs toilet. These two men handled with ease what otherwise would have been a nightmare for us. Friendly, confident, knowledgeable, & very very helpful...not to mention their sense of humor...or at least they pretended to appreciate mine as I tried to make jokes instead of crying!

My service man would get 5 stars. He was very thorough and professional. However, the dispatching system gets one star because they were really terrible. If you use their service, don't expect it to be timely or for them to use the means of communication you request or for appointments to be honored.

This experience was one of the worst I've had and I work in customer service. When I first called, they took my ticket down wrong and couldn't find a plumber in time to come out that night once it was corrected. There was a serious lack in expectations being set on when things would happen and I constantly had to ask questions and call asking what the next step was and how long it was going to take. What was supposed to take 1 day turned into a 4 day repair. I was also told a specific pipe would be used in the repair it wasn't. When I noticed it, I called to ask why and the response was The supply store was closed last night so we couldn't buy it. They only went to go get the correct pipes after I asked them to do it that day while the store WAS open. I was told a City inspector had to go out before they could bury the pipes, yet I had to call them and let them know the men working on the repair had already buried it and request that they go dig it up again for the inspector. I then kept having to follow up on when the City Inspector was going to come and was told that someone needed to be at the house when they came. I had to work from home 2 days since the inspector didn't go on the day they said they would and when they finally showed up they didn't even need to get into the garage so it was a waste of my time being there when I didn't need to be. This was so frustrating and I will never use Roto-Rooter again.

Recently we had a plumbing emergency at our place of business. Roto Rooter was understanding of the emergency and had someone out to our location within 30 minutes. Great service! If you want honest, knowledgeable, plumbing specialists, call these guys! Paul Barcus( Project Specialist) and crew came out yesterday and checked out my toilet and sewer line. I was told by another company that I would need to have significant work which would be very expensive. I contacted my insurance company and discussed coverage. I received approval to proceed. However, I contacted Roto Rooter to see what they said. The ran camera down revealing line was in good condition and no obstructions. I will contact my insurance company and report the other company. I will now only use Roto Rooter from now on.

The techs are always friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. The most expensive procedure is usually not their first option. This is our go to company for our plumbing needs. So far, they have not disappointed us in service or cost. I highly recommend them.

I could have called a zillion different plumbing outfits and many probably could have done the same job but I value professionalism and quality. Called the rooter man and Tom showed up...on time....with everything he needed to get the job done. As soon as I met him I knew this was going to be a good experience. Tom skillfully evaluated my sink draining problem and got right to work. 45 minutes later he had the drain all rooted out and another 30 minutes he had everything put back together and working like a champ. Nobody likes plumbing problems but these roto rooter guys are on top of their game. Rotorooter came to our house quickly on a Sunday when our water heater was leaking. They replaced it on the spot in a couple of hours, and followed up the next Saturday. They even went to Home Depot to buy the water heater and transport it for us since we don't have a truck! Very knowledgable as well. Great service!

Late Friday night I found a leak in my front yard. I had to. Cut the water off to the house. Saturday morning (memorial week end) I started calling to try and find some one to come out. After 8 calls I reached Roto-Rooter. Two hours later a technician showed up at my front door. His name was Jim. He was polite friendly and asked how he could help. I explain where the leak was. 15 minutes later Jim had the leak fixed and asked it there was anything else I needed. Jim new what he was doing and make several suggest for me to look into for other water pipes to my home. I did not think I would find some on Saturday morning that would lay in the wet grass (rain that morning) fixing my leak and have a smile on his face. Thank you Jim. Roto-Rooter ad reads 24/7 365 . In my case that prove to be true. If I have a need again to call I will ask for Jim.

I had a clogged toilet that backed up into the tub. Call a competitor (On time Elmers). Said they would have a tech come out. Hour and a half later I called them again to get an ETA. Never heard another word from them. Called Roto-Rooter, they had a water restoration tech at my door in 45 minutes even though my appointment wasn't until the next morning. I had to go to work or they would have been out that night. It is nice to have a business that actually gives a damn about their customers.

He was very friendly and honest with telling us what should be done and didnt waste time getting things going. Had the same repair done as my two neighbors (pressure release valve replacement) and paid more than twice what they did. Paid $660 worth of labor for 50 minutes of work! Called to contest (I wasn't home when repairs were made) and they said sorry, it was signed for. I'll look elsewhere in the future and so should you.

Very professional and FAST! I contacted Roto-Rooter on 2/19/13 in the afternoon due to a very high water pressure issue in my home. They sent someone out the same day to fix it. Don't use for home floods. The salesman plain out lied! I called for a flood. After they heard me say I was going to use ServPro because they can start work over night they said they could too. The person came a few hours later and only but out huge fans and another machine to stabilize , but didn't pull up anything. Several people told me putting out the fans with the other machine served no purpose if they didn't pull up the floors. We stopped using them immediately! Also, the plumber didn't even fix the pipe to stop the flood. He said he would be back after his meeting in the morning. When we called he said he had 2 more houses to go to then ours. The salesman painted a different picture of time frames.

Called Roto-rooter and they came out the same day which was great, but after that it’s been a headache trying to get Corected bill for Insurance company. I have placed 4 calls and promised 3 times someone would be out to bring me detailed receipt. I still don’t have one. I’m out $800 because of this. And I need that to complete my home repairs. Why I can’t get one over email in 2018, I am am perplexed.

I had a clogged shower drain and called to have it fixed. They sent Paul within an hour and he worked on that drain for an hour trying to get it unclogged. Unfortunately, he was not successful but refused to give up and called Johnny; a more experienced Plumber at Roto-Rooter and requested that he come to my house to try to correct the problem drain. Johnny was able to come later the same day with a trainee, Thomas, and worked very hard for over an hour before getting the drain working. All three of these gentlemen were very kind, polite and worked really hard. Not to mention, very patient with my 2 grandbabies that I was chasing around the whole time trying to keep them out of their way. These are the kind of service men that you always hope for but rarely see anymore. Thank you so much for your hard work!

We had a broken pipe in our shower wall. Michael, the plumber from Roto Rooter in San Antonio, arrived and assessed the damage. Luckily, once he got in there and started, it wasn't as bad as we thought. After 6 hours of hard work, I'm pleased to say that my shower is back in operation!! Michael was very pleasant and did an excellent job! Would definitely recommend Michael and his company to all my friends and family!!!

I had a leak in my main water line leading to the house. The leak was located inside my foundation. I called Roto-Rooter and within minutes there was a technician at my door. I was lucky enough to get Randell Nunn who quickly diagnosed the problem, quoted me the rate and got to work. His efficiency was amazing and within an hour had the problem resolved. Juan was the technical that showed up to fix my bathroom issue. I have to say his attention to detail and patience with me is to be commended. He took care to explain my options and cost along the way. He took the time to show me what he was doing. By Juan taking the time to show me, I will be able to see if I am having problems in the future and will be able to identify them. The most important thing to me was that I did not feel rushed, nor did I feel like he was trying to sell me something.

I e-mail Roto-Rooter inquiring about service. I didn't asked for anyone to visit us but that afternoon someone from water resolution showed up at our door. I should have known after this experience that I don't want to do deal with these people but anyway we decided to give them a try. The next day a salesman was at our door. A few minutes after that water resolution people were at the door. Then followed the plumber. I realize now what their game is; a bliss attack. My wife and I are both in our sixties. They separated us the salesman took my wife and called our insurance to get the water resolution work approved. I was dealing with the plumber and the water resolution people. At no time were we giving a quote on what the cost would be for all of this work. We were told that our insurance would cover all the work. We now have a bill for over a thousand dollars we believe for what the insurance didn't cover. We also was not given a quote for what the plumbing would cost until he completed the job. He replace two faucets and the cost was over 800.00 dollars even the insurance adjuster that visited our house a few days later told us that this was ridiculous.

First technician didn't clean out sewer line properly. This was discovered by second technician that had a camera. Third tech re-did work but also didn't have camera, had to wait next day for camera man. Still had roots in sewer line but was told they can't get them all. Have used Roto Rooter for 12 years but will look into other companies in the future. Maybe should be called Roto-NotsoRooter.

I believe I was overcharged for two hose bibs to be replaced. When I called I was very specific as to what I needed. I was told the service fee would be credited back if I bought the repair. It was not.

Last winter, our tankless hot water heater went out, he was out the next day with a new one and installed it for us. He has also corrected some blunders the previous plumber installed without our knowledge. It's hard to find someone who respects your property that you can trust will do a good job. Scheduled an appointment through their website earlier in the day. Asked for an appointment between 6 and 8 pm so I could get home after work and not have to take off time. The problem we were having was with switching out the faucet cartridge in the shower because the old one was very hard for the kids to turn on and off the shower. My husband attempted to do it himself, but the cartridge sleeve wouldn't budge.Got a call at 4 pm saying that the service man was within a half hour away. That was two hours earlier that expected and I was still at work. I received several phone calls from dispatch, two of them dropped before connection, and the others were with a woman who seemed less than thrilled that I mentioned that the visit was supposed to be after six. Luckily, my husband made it home 10 minutes before the plumber arrived. Johnny Garcia was able to assess the situation and have it fixed in under an hour. We are happy with the results.

We had a leaky toilet and it was fixed on a Sunday evening. We were blessed that Dustin was able to come out here in a promptly manner. He installed another toilet because our toilet had a crack in it. We are taking off a star because Dustin unfortunately came out 2 times prior to discovering the crack in our toilet. Overall, Dustin was very professional, and we are glad that he was our plumber and was able to fix the problem.

With having 17 guests for Thanksgiving, I realized that my guest toilet was probably clogged further down the line - it would fill up but not flush then the water would drain very slowly. I waited until the next morning to call and was amazed that Roto-Rooter San Antonio was out in about in an hour - I thought I would probably be waiting until that evening.When the plumber, Renato, showed up, he had those little booties on so as to not track anything into the house. He immediately recognized that I had a clog further down the line so brought in the snake. To ensure it was fixed, he flushed it 4 times. He was very courteous and was professional in his appearance and demeanor. I would definitely use them again.

There was a leak in our front yard spilling on to the driveway. I was assured I would be getting a call within the hour from dispatch to schedule something. I let them know this is rental property and my renters needed to know when to expect the repair appointment.Two hours later I called back as I hadn’t heard from anyone and needed to know at least a window of when someone would arrive. I was connected to someone who still had no idea of a timeframe, but assured me I was next on the que and would receive a call in the next hour.After an hour passed I called back and got an extremely rude receptionist who said they would connect me to the dispatcher. The phone call dropped. I’m assuming she hung up, but I never got a call back. I called again and finally talked to someone on the field who said that “maybe” they could call in an hour and a half and let me know when they could come over. I asked them to cancel my order. At this point I wasted half the day waiting and still didn’t have an appointment window.A few minutes later I got a call from someone named Chris who said they would be right over. I assumed all was well and maybe they had resolved the issue and corrected their poor customer service. I called an hour later and asked to speak to Chris who was supposed to be on his way and the rude receptionist said I couldn’t talk to him because I didn’t have a ticket and would have to restart the process. I was really confused as to why the communication was so bad.At this point, it had been five hours since the original call and I knew I had to write a review letting people know never to use this company. Their customer service is over the top ridiculous. I am a very patient and kind customer, but have never been so shocked by how badly run a service company can be, and how poorly they communicated with me. If they had just given me a window at 7:30 am when I originally called this whole process would have been much more organized. After 3 attempts of trying to get my bathtub unclogged it finally was resolved, I would have given a higher rating but the first plumber gave up after about 30 minutes and said someone else will need to come back out with a smaller snake, so I was rescheduled, the second day they just never showed up during my 2 hour window and when I called the girl stated when someone was free then they would come, or she can just reschedule me that was the 2nd attempt but today a man named Del finally fixed my problem! He made an effort to resolve my issue..he might be the only reason I ever call roto rooter again.

They came out fast and were nice and professional but I gave two stars due to the fact I had a broken faucet which took him 5 minutes to fix but told me they charge 300 for hour or less aside from the parts which I feel is extremely expensive and rip off for work done under 5 minutes.

I cannot recommend Roto-Rooter enough. I had a main sewer line blockage on Sunday. I called roto rooter and Ricky (plumber) came to my house within two hours. Ricky was comprehensive in his diagnosis of the problem and did a great job of educating me of the issue and explained everything to me. The price for service was reasonable. I will always use roto rooter for my plumbing needs.

Also Roto Rooter has a water restoration team. Michael Meza is the project manager and helped us with the insurance claim. They take care of everything. Jeff and Ronny were bad ass!I found a leak New Years Eve and was looking for anyone that would come out. It was freezing temperatures and the two of them came out when I called Roto-Rooter. It was to dark to begin the work but they already had ideas and were working the problem in their heads. They agreed to come out first thing the next morning to get started and the temperature was going to drop further. We agreed to a 9am start and that was all it took. Next morning they were on time without having to call around and they jumped right into the work. They found the problem and made adjustments to prevent future leaks that went beyond just repairing the break.The two of them were every bit of the word professional and I cant thank them and Roto-Rooter enough for responding on a holiday weekend in freezing temperatures for an outside leak.

I called because my water heater leaked and flooded my garage. I was told a plumber would be at my house by 8p.m, he didn't arrive until 10p.m. When he did he told me he couldn't fix it until the next day, then gave me a hard sell about replacing all of the valves an pipes connected to the water heater for over $3,000.00. I told him I would have to think about it, but he wouldn't let it go, kept pushing and selling until I had to get extremely stern. The next day I called my regular plumber who fixed it for $1,025 no need for valves and pipes to be replaced. Beware of the scammers!

Our front yard started to get saturated and began to flood due to a leaky pipe on the house side of the meter. I scheduled an appointment from the Roto Rooter website on the morning of July 5th, and they had the leak fixed by that same afternoon. Their response time and customer service was great! My toilet was running. SAWS came out and did a courtesy inspection while I was away from home. SAWS turned off my main water supply. I contacted Roto-Rooter with the problem of my toilet not wanting to flush properly. I usually can fix most of my own issues with these things and I had already removed the toilet and used my wet/dry vac to suck out the water standing in the drain pipe and could not find the clog nearby. My wife had found a you tube video showing a Roto-Rooter technician using a camera to view the inside of the pipe and at a long distance through the pipe. I asked the lady I spoke to if they could send out a tech with the camera so I could see where the clog was. They were very kind, professional and even gave me a very quick same day appointment which was very appreciative. Paul, the technician arrived at my home and ran the camera in the drain pipe then located where his camera was outside with the sonar locator gun and it was only about 20 inches or so from where the lid to the septic tank was. I already had an idea what that meant as Paul explained that I may need to get the septic tank pumped out. Paul even told me that if after the septic tank was pumped out and the clog did not move on through that he would come out and run the auger snake in the pipe and gave me his direct cell number so I could call him directly. The next day, I got the septic tank pumped out and the clog did not move on through so I called Paul on his cell and he came out within an hour or so and ran the auger snake and moved the clog on through. He even put the toilet back together for me as I had to prepare food for my 82 year old Mother who has Parkinson's disease and in a wheelchair due to having her hip replaced in 2011 and that extra help from Paul to put the toilet back together really helped me out so very much and I am so very thankful to Paul and to Roto-Rooter for helping me out of the bind I was in between getting the toilet fixed and having to take care of my Mother. Paul was friendly, very helpful, and very professional with the service he provided to me.

Worst decision I could've made they sent a guy that supposedly detected water damage which was completley a big lie then they sent another group of guy's and just started tearing up our ceiling, pantry and floor and walls on the upstairs restroom which cost us more to repair after their mess. The gentlemen that was in charge called me so that they can start the repairs and after I told him to give me a few days because we were going to get another estimate he literally just hanged on me rudely and never bothered calling me back so we gladly hired another company to do all our repairs plus they didn't lie to us like Roto Rooter. I wish I could give them a negative star.

The original appt was for between 10 AM and 11 AM. The dispatcher called to let me know that the plumbers current job was taking longer than expected, but they would call when he was available. Mitch (2914) showed at 6 PM. The first thing out of his mouth was an apology for being so late, which I appreciated. He was friendly and got right to work. Mitch found where the leak was on his first try. He carefully removed the grass and set to the side. He explained to me everything he was doing and what he planned on doing. Mitch fixed the leak and put my grass back. Except for the wait and the price (which I was expecting) the whole experience was great. Roto Rooter just needs to have more than one plumber working at a time.

Well, it looks like Google Local got spammed by their employees - take a look at Yelp for some honest reviews on this one. These guys are absolutely the pits. We had a sewer back up - they arrived, charged $270 and announced they needed a camera but would be back on Monday. After multiple missed appointments on Monday, no show, since they claim they were short of cameras. I waited at home from work all day Tuesday from 9 am - after 4 calls, the guy shows up at 7pm claiming it will be another $160 to complete the original service call. And he thought it was strange the original guy didn't use a camera because we all have cameras. When you call the offices, you always get routed to dispatch who are basically a rude bunch offering excuses. I've just come on my shift, I heard several times and the plumber is with a previous client before they even asked my name. Then I started Googling Roto-Rooter and wondered why I bothered calling in the first place. The BBB ratings, the RipOffReport ratings, the filtered Yelp reviews... it's absolutely the last place you'd ever want to call with any problem at all. These guys are total scam artists in every possible way. I wish them out of business. In the end I went with a local plumber who fixed the issue with no drama for a half the price. Best of all, Roto-Rooter didn't even honor the $50 Yelp coupon they've been promoting!

It was going to be no stars due to incredibly poor service (customer and technical) that I initially received, but a manager and a tech turned it around. Read on: A water pipe burst in our front room wall. I called to request service and was told a technician would arrive between 5 and 8pm and that I would be notified that they are enroute 30 minutes before they arrive. They didn’t show up at 8 so I called for an update. The dispatcher was rude, adding insult to injury. They told me the technician was held up by their current job and would be available in 30 minutes. 30 minutes came and went so I called for yet another update and was told it would be another 60 - 90 minutes. You guessed it, 90 minutes passed and no technician. I called again. This time dispatch said the technician was 5 minutes away. So much for the notification 30 minutes prior to arrival. It’s now 11pm. The technician steps into my home and looks like he just woke up after a meth-induced coma. Hoodie. Pants sagging. Eminem? No, couldn’t be; he’s not a rapping plumber. He assessed the damage and said it required a tool he didn’t have. Excuse me? Why would a plumber not have every possible tool known for use with residential plumbing when responding to a residential service call? He made a phone call to get guidance. Guidance told him we can’t be helped. He apologized and promptly departed. Time for another call to dispatch. Again, rude. No empathy. You pay for professionalism, but “rude” is free. I was told they couldn’t have anyone out with the necessary tool until 8 - 9am in the morning. I said ok, please schedule a technician for that timeframe. It’s 11:15pm. Next day . . . 9am passes, no tech. And yes, I call for an update. I’m told they’ll check on it. I’m done at this point. Ya, I know, I should have been “done” much earlier. I asked for a member of management and I’m told a manager will call me. Huh? Ok. I hang-up and start looking for another plumber. A few minutes before I make a decision on a plumber, I get a call from Roto-Rooter. It’s Tim Crockett. A regional manager for the technicians who service my area. Tim and the tech (Johnny) that arrived later completely reversed how I felt about Roto-Rooter. Tim was a professional. I explained my frustration and he assured me that I was the priority and the next available tech would be arriving soon. That’s nice, but after what I experienced, I wasn’t going to believe anything. 15 minutes later, Johnny arrived; a professional. Company shirt was crisp. Pants worn properly (for work). Highly skilled, highly experienced subject matter expert. Very personable. Answered all of my questions with a smile. 56 minutes after he arrived, repair completed; water flow re-established. Thank you, Johnny. Thank you, Tim.

Dustin came very quickly on a Sunday night to unclog our drain. He was super nice and stayed until he was sure it was clear and would not back up again. Above and beyond service.

My Husband and I came home early from our honeymoon because our sewage was backing up into our tubs and overflowing the toilets. As new home owners we did not know what to do. So, we called a few plumbing companies as well as post on Facebook if we had any friends with plumbing experience to HELP! The dispatcher, Eileen, at Roto-Rooter put our minds at ease when she said she could get someone to our house that day. She even called us to let us know when he was on his way. The gentleman, Dale #1029, who came out to our home was very respectful. He was more then welcoming to my husband to watch over his shoulders as he worked. We enjoyed how he explained and educated us regarding our problems at hand. Also I had some other plumbing questions, regarding running an new gas line that he did not specialize in and he assured me that Roto-Rooter would have just the specialist I would need when I was ready for my other projects. Then when he handed my husband the bill there was a sigh of relief because the price was not as high as we expected. My husband and I are happy to say that we will be using Roto-Rooter for many years to come. Hopefully not all that often though, we would like to think that the helpful education Dale gave us on how to maintain our pipes will prevent too many future issues.

Our toilets backed up yesterday evening, a Sunday, of course. We have had this problem a few times before and the local plumbers we used just kept saying it was out fault for flushing wipes - which we had not. This time we called Roto-Rooter so we could get to the bottom of the problem and were we surprised. Joel, the serviceman, gave us excellent attention, information, and help, and was polite to boot. We were told that there was erosion in the old metal pipes and that the only way to rectify the problem for good was to dig up the flooring and foundation. Of course, that would not be happening. Joel reemed out the line and gave us a six-month guarantee. We could not ask for more. He went out of his way to explain everything and we really appreciated that. Had a sewage overflow from the toilet that flooded the hallway and utility room to the new place moved to on11sep2013. Recently moved to area Did not know who to call looked online and found Roto rooter 24 hour plumbing. Called at 2300/ 11pm they responded within 40 min and the service from the call to the technician was excellent. The technician Dale was great respectful, knowledgeable, and just a great technician could not have asked for a better tech at that time. He knew his stuff quickly found the issue whoever did the plumbing in this new house installed the backflow valve wrong and was not letting the water out and keeping it in.Will definitely call Roto rooter if I need help. Normally I can fix any plumbing issue that comes up, even using an auger myself, or replacing piping and sinks. I was not looking forward to having to call a plumber, mostly for fear of having to spend anything.I had already called other plumbers for free estimates. Everyone seemed to be price-gouging, or just plain rude when I would ask honest questions about my plumbing situation. I don't about you, but I like to be as informed as I can when I'll be spending hundreds of dollars.Without joking, Roto-Rooter was everything I could have hoped for.The technicians explained where the problem was in my main line, and did not have a problem repeating themselves so that my spouse and I could be on the same page before agreeing to use RotoRooter. They even let us watch on their auger camera so we could see that towel my daughter somehow flushed down the toilet as they were fighting to remove it.I appreciate how transparent they were. I got to see how hard these technicians had to work to fix my bathroom. That's what I want to see. Not somebody who snakes a pipe for 5 minutes and asks for money. The RotoRooter technicians worked hard enough that I had no reservations paying them.As far as price is concerned: The price was about 30-50% lower than anything else I've been able to find in the NE San Antonio area. Spending around $300 is much better than the $475-700 I was quoted elsewhere.If you're feeling wary picking these guys, please make sure to explain that to them. RotoRooter doesn't seem to have a problem focusing on you before your pipes.Hope this helps you make a decision!

I was absolutely frustrated with our plumbing, the toilets were getting backed up so we tried to fix the problem ourselves and got a snake to try & flush it out but needless to say it didn't work. I had called Roto-Rooter out @ 1:30 p.m. & had received a tech out by 3:30p.m. .Tim Crockett who was our service tech found the problem immediately & informed us there were some wire -cutters in the drainage pipes leading to the outsde. the tools that he had were not working & he told us another option but it was gonna require a lot of digging & poosibly the replacements of some of the pipes which was gonna cost $2400. HE went out of his way & went above & beyond & came up with a solution to the problem, he made his own tool and spent 45 min. trying to get the wire-cutters out and didn't stop til he got the job done. On Sunday night our sewer pipe backed up into our showers; bathtubs, etc. I wasn't able to get everything to consistently work right. So we called Roto-Rooter to schedule a service on Monday Morning; but they talked us into taking a Sunday night service (no extra charge) - they promised a technician would be at our house in around 2 hours. One Hour later our door bell rang the technician was there; I walked him back to where the sewer clean-out was he proceeded to work for the next hour or so feeding the power snake through the lines. He showed me that he ran the snake all the way to the city line in the street and then after rewinding the snake proceeded to snake a video camera down the sewer and was able to show me that we had a broken pipe and roots growing into the system. We were able to set up the service and arrange financing at my kitchen table to replace the broken pipe and replace the pipes that had the roots growing in them very little trouble. The service technician was very knowledgeable, friendly and polite. He provided the necessary paperwork and told me which ones to keep to present to my insurance company if I end up having coverage to cover the busted sewer pipe. I was told they could come out to my neighborhood and provide pricing in person for a 69 dollar fee. The only way pricing is provided on labor or otherwise is by in person estimate only. The only way to avoid this fee is to agree to their pricing at time of estimate. The gentlemen on the phone was well trained and professional that answered the phone but I am not going to pay 69 dollars for an estimate of replacing a toilet with no idea as to what labor is for that kind of thing. I asked if it was less than 1000 dollars for that kind of thing and was told no pricing of any kind was provided over the phone. I will look elsewhere for help.

Had an outside faucet leaking and called around to local plumbers who were either gonna charge for coming out or charge for an estimate. Since Roto Rooter would do both for free seemed like the obvious choice. The guy initially said $225 to replace the faucet. I’m ignorant when it comes to household repair let alone what the cost should be. I said that was more than I wanted to spend. He then countered with $175. Still to high. Then he asked me what I thought I should pay. Told him no more than $100. He said ok but he would charge for parts. I have no idea if I got a good deal or not. Just didn’t seem professional that we were going back and forth on prices.

We've used rotorooter 5 or 6 times in the last 3 years or so and have always been very pleased with the service. Today (Sunday)Your technician, Donny Belk, was very prompt and courteous ,had us going in no time at all.

I called the 24/hr service for a pipe break. They scheduled me from 7-11pm. I get a call from Donald stating that the on call guy will be later to my home due to an “all night” call. I understood and asked to stay on the schedule. He was very rude and gave me attitude because I wanted to stay on the list! He gave me the impression that they did not want to help me. He had very bad customer service! Never calling them again!

Our main drain line for the house was blocked up. We called Roto-Rooter at around 12pm. Their dispatch officer called us a few times just to reassure us that someone was still coming. Paul arrived around 18:00. He wasted no time letting me know what the charges would be and then began to tackle the task at hand. Just had a major flood from a leak upstairs. By the time I got the water turned off it had flooded down to the first floor. The roto-rooter team worked quick and efficiently to remove the water and begin the restoration to include fixing the pipe that leaked so we could have running water again. All within a short period of time. I was a little overwhelmed with all if the things they were doing but the team was calm, professional and efficient. I'm only on day 2 of restoration but already feeling appreciative and ok knowing they will take care of everything.

The plumbers are great guys they came out and handled the seat issues with no problem.The clean up guys in the house tho were absolute hacks. They literally destroyed our house for no reason. We had 2 ijnches of water in the house and they were tearing insulation out of the walls completely. And cut the sheet rock 2 feet up from 2 inches of water I would run from the house clean up department.

This company is a rip off to seniors. They took advantage of my mother in her 80s. They charged her 500.00 to replace the inner’s to a toilet which is a 50.00 job. And very simple. Shame on you Roto-Rooter

They did a good job of getting my water main repaired at the best price. Work was done well and the plumber was courteous and did a good job of explaining all that would be done. One star deduction for some difficulties getting a plumber out in the first place.

We had a major issue and Roto-Rooter was able to come out and get us back up and running quicker than any other company. Would recommend to anyone wanting fast, professional service at a fair price.

The technician who came to the house (Paul, #507) was five-star, total class act. Crushed our problem with the right tools in short order and we have a running drain again. The only reason it's not five stars is because the company gave us a four-hour window in the morning and couldn't make it in that window as it turned out. They kept us up on the timing, but I wish they could have let me know that they couldn't make that window in the first place.

I'm very pleased with Roto rooters service. I arranged my appointment online , they showed up the same day and their tech Julio Aleman was professional, informative and got the job done quickly.

Paul Barcus came out today and cleared our clogged sewer drain at a reasonable price in a very professional manner. I was impressed by the thoroughness as to clearing the clog and providing a view of the drain using a camera that followed the drain to see where problems occur. If a problem is found, it is possible using a location instrument to go outside the house and determine the physical location of the camera head. Paul explained the situation and made recommendations as to any future improvements that might eliminate a future clogged line. We were glad to find someone who could respond promptly on a weekend, and not do a rushed job.

I called out Roto-Rooter because I had roots clogging the main sewer line. Roto-Rooter gave me a scheduled time between 4-6pm on October 29, 2012, the service man Joe Galindo was there about 4:05pm and got right to work. He gave me an estimate and I gave Joe the go ahead and he got started, Joe pulled several balls of roots and other things that shouldn't go in the toilet out of the sewer line. Joe was a very friendly professional courteous young man. Joe made an otherwise unpleasant ordeal quick and relatively painless. He spoke to me as if we were friends, did a GOOD JOB. I hope if I ever have to call out Roto-Rooter again that Joe Galindo will be the technician. Thank you Roto-Rooter, and thank you Joe Galindo.

Outstanding!Our backyard spigot broke and was running constantly. We called Roto-Rooter and they had Randell Nunn here within the hour! Randell was amazing! He got right to work, shut off the main to stop the leaking, and then replaced the hardware for us. I will definitely call Roto-Rooter whenever we need a plumber from now on.

Initially I thought Roto Rooter had done a good job, based on what the service man from Roto Rooter told my husband and I. However, additional work needed to be done. We called Will Fix It yesterday 3/7/16, and they told us that Roto Rooter charged us way too much and didn't even do a complete job. Our water heater wouldn't even pass inspection based on the work that Roto Rooter did!I will make sure to tell everyone I know what a rip off Roto Rooter is and how Roto Rooter does work that is sub par. Don't waste your money by calling this company. If you're interested, the service technician that did the sub par work is named Jeff.

Excellent service experience from Hector Olivares. If you have a plumbing issue and are looking for a quality repair, Roto-Rooter are the ones to call. I had a tricky to get to pinhole leak just above the slab. Hector did a professional high quality repair that three other well known bulverde and San Antonio plumbing companies would not touch. The job was huge since we had to replace all the pipes under our foundation. John Bellefeuille was the project manage for this job visiting the job site and explaining in detail the work that was being done. Thank you for all the professionalism shown from all the workers and for John keeping us informed at all times.

AS far as the actual work went , they did very well. I did have an issue though with them forging my signature. When I received all the finalized documents I couldn't help but notice that some documents were typed and signed with my name spelled wrong. When I called them about this, they gave me the our manager already left for the day, is off tomorrow, then vacation next week, but we'll have him call you bit. He/she never called back. So in conclusion, the service was good, but the business practices are shady, and management is unresponsive to critical employee violations. Be careful.

I live at an apartment where we needed work done on our waterline. I called to ask for more details on what the plumber said to My mother who was at the apartment while he worked on the waterline. I was not around so I wanted to clear up why the plumber would have told my mother why he felt he PVC pipe would brake so easily due to poor insulation and in a storage closet. I was trying to get more information so I can come to a reasonable payment solution with the apartment. I'm not trying to totally get out of paying for damages, just wanted to bring all facts to the table before I spoke with the apartment manager.When I spoke to Timothy their Master Plumber he raised his voice and stated My plumbers know better than to give that kind of advice. He then stated they would not give anymore information on the work done. I thanked him for his time and ended the call.

Paul with Roto-Rooter responded quickly to my backed up kitchen sink. He was very thorough in his explanation and very quick to fix the issue. I will definitely call Roto-Rooter again if I have future plumbing issues.

Had a stopped up main line. The tech they sent out (I forgot his name) sent the video camera down and saw that there was a root in the line. All he could do was sell me some root killer and charge me almost $300 which didnt fix the problem. Oh he said he might come back and use a water jet the next day. Something about $600 for that. He never came back. Anyway, next day I called a local plumber which I should have done int the first place and for $95 he cleaned it out, Just used a root cutter attachment which normal plumbers do all the time. Its been about 6 months now no problems. Roto Rooter was just an expensive rip off to me.

Great emergency Sunday service! I had a PVC pipe leading away from my outdoor faucet break, and didn't know how to turn off the water to the building. Called them in just to turn the water off, and they put a temporary fix on so we could still have water. Total it should have cost $250.00, and Randell (Journeyman 1351) helped us out for just $26.00!Now, to be fair, this was a temporary fix as we have our own maintenance guy (he only works Mon-Fri), but it really saved our butts to have such a friend in our hour of need.

I live in San Antonio and consider myself a a fair to good DIY plumber, but in all my years {77} I had never come across a mystery under ground water leak like this one. It had me stumped and worried sick that I had an under slab leak. Happily, I called Roto-Rooter and within hours your service technician Jeff made my fears vanish and my leak disappear! Jeff, after consulting with his colleague Jon got busy and found the leak (out in the yard, not under the slab) repaired it and did it all in a professional , efficient and cheerful manner. I had been without plumbing for 3 days after being stood up by plumber after plumber. Finally I called roto rooter. Not only were they here within 2 hrs, the plumber, who's name is JULIO, came out and was persistent about getting the job done no matter how long it took him. Best service I've ever experienced from a contractor, I called them and within 2 hours they had a tech here. I highly recommend them. We called them out for a toilet issue that turned out to be septic related, so they didn't even charge us for coming out because they were unable to fix it.

I called Roto Rooter in New Braunfels today and David (#2538) was sent out to our house. Our friend’s son had flushed my wedding ring and 3 other rings down the toilet and flushed multiple times. Called at 9:00 at night because our toilet was backing up (darn tree roots) and we had plans for the next morning. Our technician was there by 10:00, snaked the drain and had everything complete by 10:30. Would definitely use Roto-Rooter again!

I want to thank Roto-Rooter for the fast response to my clogged drain. The clog turn out to be bad sewer lines out in my front yard that had severe root infilitration and broken parts. John B., the plumber, did an excellent job of diagnosing the problem, taking photos and video. After clearing the line as much as possible in order that there was no interruption using the sewer system John quickly had a team out to excavate and expose the sewer line and replaced with new and quality pipes. This should fix the problem for the long term.

I have been remiss in not posting what a fantastic experience I had with Roto Rooter - specifically Maurice Clark - on August 29th of this year. I know having to get a drain cleaned and fantastic don't usually go together, but in this case they 100% do. My children's bathroom shower was clogged. Extremely clogged. I was trying all the hardware store remedies to no avail. I finally broke down and called Roto Rooter. Maurice did an exceptional job. He cleared the drain in no time, was super polite about my crazy Golden Retriever trying to play with him, and - the best (and most unexpected) part is that he literally cleaned the filthy tub up for me better than I could've done myself. There was so much grime from the kids and the drain not working that I was dreading the task of getting it back in tip top shape. When Maurice finished he casually mentioned he'd cleaned up the tub for me, too. I never, ever would've expected someone to do that for me. Especially considering the state it was in. I cannot think of a better example of above and beyond than what he did there. He closed out my invoice, thanked me, and went on his way. When I went upstairs I was blown away. The drain functioned like new and the tub was immaculate. From that day on I've bragged to friends about what an unusually wonderful experience I had with Maurice. And, I meant to sit down a million times to write a letter of commendation. The world needs more service-oriented people like Maurice in it. It's like a lost art. The scheduler kept my wife and I advised on when to expect the plumber. Two technicians showed up about two hours after I called. They were well dressed i.e. clean and neat in appearance. They explained what they needed to do and told me what was causing the blockage (grease). They also took the time to tell my wife and I how to keep blockages from occurring in the future. They were polite and friendly, and they cleaned up afterward. (They were careful to create as little a mess as possible.) A good experience all around..

Excavated and replaced sewer line due to tree roots. On the first day, they did not wearing safety gear and complained openly about the proposal price we received, which was completely inappropriate. After my husband, who works in environmental health and safety, notified their bosses about the lack of safety gear, they were properly attired for the remainder of the job.

I have used Roto Rooter in the past and received excellent service, so I had no question on who to call with my plumbing issue. We called due to a water leak by the meter, our plumber was out and repaired our PRV quickly.

Left a huge pile of dirt right in-front of my house! After multiple requests to clear it, no one ever showed up when they said they would. I've been a loyal customer for years, but this is the last time I'll ever use Roto-Rooter!

My kitchen sink was severely stopped up I tried everything I knew to do. Dale from Roto Rooter Metro Parkway San Antonio came to my rescue. He worked for an hour and ran at least 100 ft of snake through my drain twice before he got it cleaned out. He was courteous and cleaned up after the drain was cleared. The lateral line had gotten clogged with roots again and they came out and used a new process called Perma Liner to fix the problem without having to dig up the yard. The service was cheaper option. I highly recommend. The workers who came out were all very courteous and professional.

Julio Aleman came out to fix our clogged pipe not only did he work with our time window (because we were at our son's graduation) but he was thorough and professional, explained and showed us everything and answered all our questions. He also gave us advise on how to avoid problems in the future. I will definitely use this company again and request Julio if we ever have any future issues.

Scheduling really had a problem. They said sometime in 3 hours. I said that was okay but I'd be gone between 6 and 7 pm. They called me to tell me that the technician was at my house at 6:10 pm. They did send someone later but he wanted $375 to pull the toilet to unclog the inside drain line. I insisted he try to do it through the shower since I was convinced the clog was between bathrooms. It was but it still cost me $255 with a discount coupon. It was a Sunday evening of a holiday weekend and my main bath but I need to find a cheaper service for these type of emergencies.

I was told that there would be a free estimate of the work to be done and that they did not charge extra for weekends. After 10 minutes the plumber told me he would give me an estimat to trouble shoot my problem not an estimate for the repIr. The estimate for the estimate was 227.00. After 15 minutes he told me I needed a new water heater.if I waited til Monday the job would be $1300, labor and water heater. If I bought my own wAter heater Home Depot the labor would be 800.00. We purchased the water heater for 475.00 and 1 1/2 hours later the wAter heater was installed. I asked him to fix a drippingFaucet which took about 20 minutes. From the time he drove through our gate till he left was exactly 4 hrs.. This included the time he took to write 2 estimates and the 45 minutes I took for us to go and purchase a water heAter. After the 1 1/2 hour installation I began to question the $800.00 fee plus the $227.00 for the diagnosis. He took $100.00 off the total leaving us with a totAl of $997.00 for 4 hours, this means we paid $224.00 an hour. So much for no extra for weekends. The average rate For. Plumbers in San Antonio is 62.00 -75.00 per hour. On Monday I called the company to protest the charge based on the fact that the estimate should have been free and that they were charging a rate that far exceeded that of the area. They told me they do not charge by the hour but by the job. After much pleading they took off the $227.00 charge for diagnosising the problem. In the end I only paid $186.00 an hour. So much for no extra for weekends. I paid 75.00 an hr. x 2.5. Buyer beware. I will never call them again.

They came out for an emergency leak on Father’s Day. They were nice and helpful and very quick. They took good care of us and our house. Will definitely use them again!

The gentleman that came out to fix a very clogged drain was very polite and clean. He explained everything in a way that I could understand. It turned out, after he put the camera down the drain, that there was a small crack in the pipe near the main cleanout that is located outside. It was full of roots. He let me see everything that he saw and explained it in a great way. After Christmas has gone by, we are going to have Roto-Rooter come back and repair the problem. I will definately ask that the same gentleman come out to do the repair. Had an outside water pipe break on Sunday evening. I had to turn off the water at the meter. I called Roto Rooter and Randell Nunn, a journeyman plumber, was there in just over an hour. He had to dig down 2-3 feet but he had the repair made very shortly. The price was reasonable and what was quoted. We had these guys out to snake a drain, and they told us because we have foundation issues they'd have to completely re-pipe the entire house. They gave me an estimate for $3000 and charged me over $200 to snake a drain (which was still clogged when they left).I had a local son and dad team to come look, an hour later my pluming is working perfectly. They charged me $125.I used to think you get what you pay for, but obviously that's not true at roto rooter.Edit: Spelling

We needed emergency service to unclog a toilet. Tito Rooter had a technician out within an hour of my call and he had it cleared in 20 minutes.

They were very unprofessional they gave me a time between 10:00 and 2:00. I called at 2:30 cuz nobody had shown up and I hadn't heard from anybody the lady that answered the phone told me she couldn't help me that the technician would be here when he got there. I called again at 3:30 cuz nobody had shown up and they told me the same thing when the technician got there he would be there. Finally at 6:30 I called and canceled after being rudely told again that the technician would be there when he got there. Nobody apologized for the inconvenience nobody called me to tell me what was going on and I definitely would not recommend these people to anybody

Jose came to my home 9/14 /17 fix my leak on the patio under the wood he worked hard and did an excellent job. He deserves a big raise because he is good for you company a 5 star employee.

Jeffrey was very professional and replaced the pressure relief valve in a timely manner. He stayed until the job was complete even in the hot Texas sun to make sure we had water to our house.

Billy Hohensee, the Roto-Rooter serviceman appeared within two hours of my call to troubleshoot and provide an estimate. I was impressed by how friendly and energetic he was and how he took the time to discuss how hot water heaters function, the affects the hard water of San Antonio has on the systems, the necessity of flushing annually and what's involved in replacing a hot water heater. My hot water heater is 27 years old, and obviously needs replacing. Billy worked up an estimate for me to provide to my landlord and made himself available to discuss with her in detail. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of plumbing services. ...and he brought up my recycling bin. :)

Excellent and quick service, called for help and they had people out here in 30 minutes :) the issue was fixed in 2 hours tops. The technicians (Paul and Julio) went above and beyond my expectations and the price was way below what I was anticipating... all around a much better experience than I had feared as a first time home owner dealing with plumbing issues.

Very efficient service. The technician made sure the job was done correctly and even redid his work to make sure it was correct. It did take a while to get a technician out to my house but it was Sunday evening and I'm just glad they were able to come out and fix my shower.

Jose #672 was my hero today. Last night I tried to run tuna salad through my garbage disposal and my sink proceeded to back up. You know how gross that is? I'll tell you. Stinky tuna yucky gross. Water from slab leak covered 3 bedrooms, hall and bath. Roto Rooter employee Randell Nunn came out on Christmas Eve and located approximately where leak was and that it was a hot water pipe. He cut hot water off thankfully allowing ue the use of cold water. He gave me very good sound advice on remediation which I immediately started.. He then came back with helper to locate and cap leak and rerouted hot water line to bath. He worked really hard, fast.and kept the cost down. I am extremely pleased with the work done and the timeliness it was done in. Thanks Roto Rooter and Randell.

Tom was friendly and knowledgeable and told me more than once that he wasn’t going to leave until the problem was resolved. He explained what he was doing as he went. The cost for repair seems fair considering the amount of time it took.

What a rip off!!! Came over to check the water Heater and just by looking at the unit they came with the decision that the gas controller was not working!!!! The drain the heater charge me !175 dollars for 15 minutes of work and they left!!! No estimates of repairs no consideration that it was a Saturday and weekend and not hot water. This buisness is a disgrace as a business. I will never call this company ever for any kind of problem period.

Disgusting & dishonest! The technician who came out charged me $150 for my free estimate. He said he would have to charge me to dig up my whole yard to search for the leak. He dug for literally 3 minutes (four shovels of dirt) right where I said the leak was. Then told me it would be an additional $600 to fix the leak! I never should have called Roto-Rooter! After being extorted for $150, I called two other companies & got actually free quotes for $300 less!

Very horrible customer service and unprofessionalism from the dispatcher but not from the technician because they never came out. I called on Friday to schedule someone to come out , so the dispatcher stated that someone could come Saturday between 9-12 so I agreed. I was up and waiting but no call until about 11am which is was ok because I assumed they were calling to say they were coming but no, the unprofessional dispatcher stated that they were waiting for someone to become available then they’d call me back to come out. Being that it was closer to 12 I asked if she thought I’d get a call after 12noon and she said she didn’t know. I explained that I had plans later in the afternoon and just wanted to know if I would need to rearrange my plans. She raised her voice saying “ ma’am again I don’t know “ and would not allow me to say another word, she just keep talking at me and getting louder so I just hung up. I called the main 210 # and was again transferred back to the unprofessional dispatcher who then said yes they were behind and it could be later than noon. I didn’t get another call until after 2 pm and I had already called Beyer Boys who has someone ready to come out in about 45 min after I called them. And the technician and dispatcher were very professional and gave me so much more help in less time than I got with Roto.

First off I'd like to say that I call the other plumbing service armendia they treated me like didn't care whether they had my business or not it made me feel unimportant maybe I called them at 1 and they said they couldn't give me a specific time when they would be there between 1 and 7 p.m. so I called him back at 4 p.m. and they said oh well we had another emergency so how about we show up tomorrow at 9 a.m. and I said no how about I call another Plumbing Service so this is when I called Roto-Rooter immediately the lady on the phone was more polite she gave me a time frame when I should hear back from him she called me 30 minutes prior to the service technician coming then the service technician was very polite he also helped us save a few dollars with a senior citizen discount coupon online he fixed the problem rather quickly but he was very informative and proper etiquette I highly recommend Roto-Rooter available 24/7 with a knowledgeable staff

Tony arrived at the time scheduled. He was courteous, professional and went right to work removing the blockage from our main drain. Had a sewer line back up on Sunday P.M. House flooded when back flow came up thru toilet downstairs. Called Roto-Rooter at 6p.m. Dispatcher stated emergency tech would be dispatched to residence in less than an hour. An hour and a half later got call that tech delayed and would be about another hour. Got a second call 1 hour later again that tech was at my residence and could not get in. Tech was dispatched to different location with different Zip Code. Gave address to 3rd person at dispatch who did not give reason wrong address was given to tech. Finally at 9:15 tech arrived. Tech stated This does not usually happen. Was given estimate so quickly that when I tried to use the internet coupon I was told that Credit card was already ran thru and could not get discount. So 3 hr and 15 min. to get emergency help is just a joke and no Sorry or we will discount our price for your inconvenience. Will not use Roto-Rooter again in future.

Had problems with my septic tank with it being clogged and called a bunch of places. Its sunday so most places are closed but luckily Roto-Rooter in San Antonio was open. I dont normally write reviews but Eugene and Richard did such an awesome, I had to brag about their work.

Had a water pipe break in our backyard on the 4th of July in San Antonio. Called several other plumbers who were responding to emergency situations only since it was a holiday. After I called Roto-Rooter, they indicated that they were working on the 4th of July as if it were any other normal day. I truly hate the dishonest people who work here.I had called roto rooter and they had come out to give me a estimate.They ended up doing the job.The tech had me sign some paperwork before he started and made me sign on it.That paper happed to be a invoice that wasn't even written up yet only my signature.something that should be done at the end of the job.So he told me it was a he found clay on his auger blade and said it was a collapsed pipe and the supervisor had to come out with a camra I didn't see no collapsed pipe in the camera he even let me see the camera and take video of the what was being seen.Long story short he told me he wasn't able to give me a warranty because the pipe was collapsed.And that's why they have you sign the invoice before there done so they can write whatever they want on the invoice and of course it already had my signature on it. How dishonest.

I've had a few pex pipe leaks causing water damage. Fernando and Juan with the water restoration group have taken care of all concerns/questions. They were always prompt and did what they did they'd do. I highly recommend those two if water mitigation/restoration is needed.

They were onsite after hours within an hour. The onsite plumber was very help in explaining the cause of the problem and provided multiple solutions to remediate our sewage issue. Overall, great customer service and excellent plumbing work.

My 2 year old flushed Mr. Potatohead's hat down our toilet in our 20 year old San Antonio house. After a couple more flushes, the toilet stopped working. I called RotoRooter because I thought they had the tools to grind it to dust in the pipes. Surprise! The toy got stuck in the toilet itself and since it is porcelain it couldn't get pushed through. So, we had to go buy a whole new toilet. But, the plumber did the whole job (not including the toilet, which we chose to go out and buy ourselves so we could avoid the 2X markup and pick it out) for the same price as clearing the clog, which was $350- less after an Angies list coupon. This price still stung quite a bit because last time I had a drain clog cleaned by another company it only cost $75. So, our two year old is now looking for part time employment so he can pay off his debts. He is very talented especially when throwing tantrums.

Billed insurance company $5k for overflowing toilet that resulted in the demo team demolishing bathroom including cutting out dry wall and door trim and breaking angle iron and valve in the process over the week leading up to Thanksgiving -- 2 weeks later we have an unusable toilet, broken sink, and gutted bathroom.

Very knowledgeable with the issues. I appreciated the free evaluation for moisture and clean up services. Fixed the issue but waaayyy overcharged me.I was out of town & shower faucet started leaking& wouldn't stop, needed internals replaced(39.99$ oem part & 10 mins of work, but quoted me around 200-250$) & charged me 350.00$ Including 64.99$ for the piece.I had same problem with another shower & I fixed for 39.99$ & 30 mins of my Inexperienced plumbing time.Never again!

The service and repair (once the parts came in) was done in an expedited manner and handled professionally. The only problem, that comes at a price, almost $3,000 in labor for three plumbers to work for three hours to install $1,200 in parts.

Had a broken solder joint Jeff came out and replaced the joint with a newer style joint which solved the issue. He was very professional and gave me the break down of what he would do before starting the work so I knew exactly what he would be doing before approving the work.
