Raymond Patrick Leggett, 73 years of age from Cardiff passed away suddenly on 19/08/2024 surrounded by his loved ones. As a retired gas service engineer he loved to cycle, he was incredibly fit and completed the Welsh Velathon from 2016 to 2018. More recently, he rekindled his love of the mod scene, he purchased a vintage Lambretta and joined a local scooter club. He loved Motown music and dancing, he was always the first on the dancefloor and he recently took up the saxophone. Raymond was the original mod, the sharped dressed man who was loved by many. His funeral will be held on 23/09/2024 at Thornhill Crematorium at 2.30pm for those wishing to pay their respects.

24/12/1931-27/08/2024 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Denys. Beloved husband of Gillian, father of Huw and Carol, grandfather to Ruby, Dafydd, Rhiannon, and Ffion, and great-grandfather to Raffi, Zari, and Gwenyn. Denys will be greatly missed by all his loved ones Denys was generous, had a sharp mind, a quick wit and was a keen bridge player. Denys was a devoted husband to his wife of over 60 years with whom he enjoyed travelling, taking walks, often to Verdi's or Joe's (to enjoy hot chocolates or ice cream) and spending time with family and friends. He provided exceptional support and care for Gillian who is living with alzheimers disease. Denys, a committed atheist, chose to donate his body to medical science. Although he is no longer with us, Denys will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.

(Doc) It is with great sadness to announce the death of our wonderful father Dr Yelandur Puttaveerappa Shankar who passed peacefully on Saturday 10 August aged 92 in Heol Don Care Home, Whitchurch, Cardiff. Dad was a devoted husband to the love of his life, our late mother Brenda, a proud and loving father to Arun, Sunita and Rama and a caring grampy to Kiran and Theo. We were all able to spend time with Dad before his passing for which we are so grateful. Dad graduated in 1955 from the University of Mysore where he was awarded the Gold Medal for General Proficiency and prizes for Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and for achieving the highest marks in Pathology. He came to the UK in 1957 for further study and to work. Happy times were spent working in hospitals in Merthyr, where he also met our mother. Dad then worked in Clonmel, Ireland, a place very dear to both our parents and finally Caerphilly. Here they established our happy family home, living there for over 50 years. He became a senior partner in Ty Bryn Surgery. Dad was a well-respected and loved GP covering Bedwas and Trethomas. He will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be for the immediate family.
