I remember the days when it seemed like healthy recipes for snacks were the holy grail of motherhood in the kitchen.

That was when I was feeding hoards of hungry snackers, creating everything from low carb cookies, to tasty gluten free pizza muffins, to a healthy apple sauce recipe and much more.

Walking down memory lane, I recall all of the easy recipes for snacks I made for the boys when they were little.

The recipes were so simple, and they loved helping me out in the kitchen.

Children and Diet Restrictions

But wait, why all the fuss about healthy recipes?

It all began with my older son. You see, diet restrictions for children can be challenging, and my kiddo was diagnosed with celiac disease when he was only 3 years old.

    Hi, I have read your books and have ordered them. I thought I would never eat cupcakes again. I can have my cake and eat it too. I have never tried agave before and what is the problem with it? People seem to be against it.

    Wow, that is not a picky eater- LOL my son have very limited things that he will eat. Like eggs he will only eat plain and scrambled. He only eats ground beef or he will eat peanut butter. He will eat most fruits and vegetables but only in small amounts. He is 16 now. He was not this picky when he was younger but has become more picky as he has gotten older less I can do. I always offer. I don’t force the issue. But I am also not a short order cook.
